Chapter 17
Sky POV

When I woke up I was in major pain and struggling for air. My vision was blurry but I could hear shuffling around me.

"He's awake!" Ian called out. He reached beside my hospital bed and did something before placing an air mask over my mouth and nose. The cool air felt nice and filled my lungs steadying my breathing. After a moment i could breathe and see more clearly again.

I was in a hospital as i had suspected. But what happened? I tried to sit up and my shoulder throbbed in pain forcing me back down. It was wrapped in a white banadge. Oh Right. The fight with Deadlox.

That fucker stabbed me! How dare he!

Ian walked over and helped me sit up against the pillowes. He looked more stressed out than normal. He was wearing his glasses which he hardly ever wore.

"You scared the hell out of us Sky." He admitted bluntly. I felt myself chuckle. What did he expect?

"Gotta keep you on your toes" I croaked out suddenly aware of how dry my throat felt. "Water?" He rolled his eyes and grabbed a half drank bottle off the bedside table and brought it to my lips. I took a few small sips then one long chug. Much better.

"What you did was stupid and reckless. The whole team was worried about you. Jerome refuses to go home." I looked down at the bandage around my shoulders and realized I was shirtless. Huh I look pretty good shirtless.

"Go ahead and tell them I'm fine." I exclaimed, "when can I leave?"

"As soon as I fill out the paper work. I'm gonna send Jerome in here so he'll stop pacing." Ian dipped out of the room and I listened to his footsteps disappear down the hall.

I got to my feet and stretched using the bed to keep me steady. I felt weak and my shoulder still really hurt, but I knew they'd put me on some kind of pain killer. It was more of a dull throbbing.

"Oh thank god." Jerome exclaimed as he burst into the room. I grinned and he hugged me tightly around the torso avoiding my shoulder. He pulled away, "Sky you are a dumbass! You shouldn't have gone in there unarmed!"

"Yes mother" I snickered and he narrowed his eyes. "Look he didn't plan on hurting me, I instigated him."

"What's with you man? Now your defending him. He's your mortal enemy." I shrugged and pretended to be very interested in my bandages.

"Adam." Jerome hissed. My head shot up and I could feel a growl producing in my throat.

"Do not call me that." I snapped. "My name is Sky. Sky Dahlberg." Jerome raised his eyebrows in shock.

I never snapped at Jerome. I hardly snapped at anyone. But no one was allowed to call me Adam. No one except Ty. I hated the name Adam I always have but the way Ty says it makes it seem like I'm the most important person in the world.

"You need to tell me what's going on Sky." He said emphasizing my name, "between you and Deadlox. It's not just some petty argument you guys always have."

"It's nothing Jerome." I rolled onto my side keeping my back to him.

"It's nothing? Then explain how you got that hickey on your neck."

Ty POV

"You are a motherfucking idiot Deadlox..." I let out a breathe my fists clenching into the sheets of the cot I was on. Ghost was patching up my stitches and refused to give me pain killers.

"I know" I wheezed biting back cries of pain as his fingers moved against my wound removing the old stitches. My shirt had been covered in blood when we got home so Bodil just burned it. So now I'm cold and in pain.

"Why should I let you go on another mission?" Ghost asked replacing the stitches not being gentle at all.

"Because you don't do your own dirty work" I said threw clenched teeth gripping the sheets so hard my knuckles turned white. "Could you be more gentle?" He huffed and tightened the stitches once more before wrapping the white bandage around my torso tightly.

"Deadlox you were awake when he removed your ribs and now your bitching?" Simon asked and I shot him a murderous glare which he returned with a grin.

"You don't have Ghosts fingers digging into a wound. I was on morphine when he removed my ribs." I looked at Ghost, "You should never consider being a doctor."

"I don't plan too" he closed the medical box and placed it on a shelf before leaving the room. I sat up slightly being careful of the new bandages then got to my feet sighing.

My room was on the other side of the manor. Right now I was in the medical unit where we spent way too much time.

"Bodil? Mind helping me back to my room?" He sighed but nodded and wrapped an arm around my back and helped me walk.

"You know Kyle, Dartron and Seto are coming in from Europe. Ghost thinks it's best if there here." Bodil exclaimed as we walked.

All three of them? This was gonna be great. Seto and myself were a duo to be messed with. Kyle and Dartron were skilled almost as well as I was. Together we were unstoppable.

"Sounds bloody brilliant." I said grinning as we approached my room, "I simply cannot wait to see them." He rolled his eyes and left me to myself.

I hobbled over to my desk and sat down opening my laptop. I don't know what compelled me to do it but I opened the little chat window and called Adams laptop.

I waited for over an hour before it finally answered. But it wasn't Adam who answered.

"Hello Jerome."
