Chapter 35
Ty POV

I was craving his touch. I wanted to see that seductive look in his eyes or watch him bite his lip when I took my shirt off.

Ghost was driving me crazy with work making it absolutely impossible to spend any time with Adam. By time I would finish a project I would be exhausted and go to sleep almost immedantly.

The following day there would be another project for me to do. I wish I could just explain this to Adam, that I was being forced to act like this. That if I didn't do as ordered Ghost would order a hit man out on Adam and I'd loose him forever.

I shut my laptop and yawned checking my watch. Three in the morning of course. I set my laptop on the table and trudged upstairs.

Adam was already asleep so I changed and crawled up next to him. I lifted his arm and moved under it snuggling against his chest.

Ghost couldn't take him away from me. I needed to stay in this safe house while we were still being searched for. I was going to stay here with Adam as long as I could.

I closed my eyes and drifted off to sleep.

When I woke up I was in bed alone. I frowned and sat up rubbing the sleep from my eyes. It was only 10:30am...where was Adam? He always stayed in bed until I woke up.

I got out of bed and stretched before going downstairs Into the kitchen. Adam was sitting on the counter talking and laughing with Lachlan who was making breakfast.

"Morning sleeping beauty" Adam said at the sight of me. I smiled tiredly and opened the fridge getting the orange juice. I poured myself a glass and took a long drink before grabbing my phone off its charger.

Three text messages from Ghost of course.

Also don't forget to pack your knife. You've got a job.

Don't mess this up. You know what will happen.

I sighed loudly and locked the phone downing my orange juice.

"Ghost needs me today." I said. "I'm gonna go change. I don't know how long I'll be gone so don't wait up for me." I put my glass in the sink and went back upstairs.

I shut the bedroom door angrily and slammed my fist into the doorframe. I hated Ghost so much for this! I knew he'd end up finding a way to separate us.

Grumbling under my breathe I changed into black jeans and a white v-neck. Brushing my hair back and grabbing a knife off the dresser. Carefully I placed it in my pocket and went back downstairs slipping on my shoes.

I could Adam and Lachlan laughing in the kitchen. What was so funny? I peaked my head in and neither of them had moved positions but Adam seemed to be looking intently at Lachlan.

"Hey I gotta go love." I said walking up to him. He leaned down to kiss my forehead but I tipped my head up and let our lips connect for just a few seconds. "Don't wait up for me." He smiled and nodded.

"Good luck on your project or whatever." I smiled and headed outside right as the car pulled up. Black van. Not surprised. I climbed in the back and leaned against the seat.

The driver was a man I had never seen before but it was obvious he worked for Ghost.

"Where we going?" I asked crossing my arms.

"There is man who has tracked you here. You must stop him. I take you to his address." His English was broken and I could tell he had probably never been to Australia before.

The drive was long and quiet and I just wanted to get this over with and go back home. I missed Adam already.

God I don't know how Seto did this kind of stuff and spend so long away from Brice without loosing his mind. Well he was already crazy so that helps.

I began to wonder if Ghost was doing this same thing to Seto. Seto wasn't one to talk about his personal life or his feelings about anything. I always forget he was raised up like I was.

"We're here." The car stopped in front of a hotel. "Third floor with the balcony." I cautiously stepped out of the car and looked up at the building. Each room on his side had a small balcony.

I glanced around to make sure no one was watching and ran at the wall. I made four steps up the wall before gravity started to take its toll. Quickly I launched myself up another foot and caught the railing of the second floor balcony.

Being grateful I was so light I pulled myself up onto the balcony and stood on the railing jumping up and catching the bottom of the third floor balcony. I pulled myself up on the balcony quickly.

I didn't think I'd been spotted so I shimmied open the sliding glass door and stepped into the room shutting it behind me. The room was empty and so was the bathroom.

Sighing irritably I knew I'd have to wait this guy out. I looked around for somewhere to hide and decided the small closet across from the kitchen would be the best. So I crammed myself into the small space and waited.

I was dozing off when the door to the hotel room slammed shut. My eyes fluttered open and peered threw the crack in the door.

The man walked into the room and threw his jacket on the bed. He was muscular and looked way to familiar for comfort. He was tall with a buzz cut and light brown hair.

I let out a breathe and mentally made my decision. I shoved the door open and raised my knife, the man spun around when the door opened. Taking his moment of shock I tackled him down to the ground and pressed the knife to his throat.

"Don't move." I hissed. "You just need to listen and I will let you go. Blink once if you understand." He blinked. "Good. If you want Adam alive you're going to need to listen and listen good. I've been ordered to kill you and if I fail my orders Adam will die."

"Who do you take orders from?" I growled and pressed my knife harder against his throat.

"None of your business. In three seconds I want you to jab me in the side and knock the knife from my hand. Fight me."

He did exactly as I ordered and jabbed me sending pain threw my side. He shoved the knife away only cutting his neck slightly and shoved me off him hard.

I hit a wall and my head spun slightly. The man seized me by the throat and slammed me into the wall punching me hard in the stomach again and again.

"Why should I believe you?" He asked in a hushed tone. I brought my foot up and kicked him hard in the stomach.

"Because if you don't then Adam will die." I exclaimed softly as he dropped me to the ground. I rolled across the floor and jumped up.

"Then how do we do this?" He murmured grabbing my knife off the floor and pointing it at me.

"Easy. We fake your death."
