Chapter 32 Ghost

Chapter 32

Deadlox POV

"And we're thirty minutes late" I grumbled as I pulled into Ghost's driveway. Adam laughed and rolled his eyes at me causing a small smile to appear on my face.

"Well that's cause someone sleeps for hours on end." I rolled my eyes and turned off the car stepping out.

I didn't sleep in that late. We were all suppose to be here at 11am and it's sorta 11:30am. Adam could have woken me up but of course he didn't. Claiming I was 'to adorable to be woken up'

We walked into the house without knocking as I usually did. This place was like a second home to me; this was where I spent my life growing up.

"Someone's late!" Izzy snickered as we walked into the living room. I narrowed my eyes at the small child.

"I helped bring you into this world. Don't make me take you out of it" I hissed. She stuck her tongue out at me and ran back towards the basement.

"Well someone doesn't like you" Adam teased nudging me slightly. I frowned. "Aw no pouting I was joking."

"Your an idiot." I brushed past him and into the dining room where the rest of the adults were sitting at the table. Even though Haydz is young id consider him an adult in this situation.I smiled at the sight of two of our other members here. Owkward and Baki.

Owkward is 17 and another one of our tech wizards. He spends a lot of his time with Haydz since there both all techy. He's dark skinned with light brown eyes and short black hair tucked under a hat.

Baki is the complete opposite. He's 22 and extremely pale with bright blue eyes and blonde almost white hair. He's wearing a white suit and matching white shoes. Without his red scarf he'd be a new shade of Neon White.

"It's good to see you Baki, Owkward." Owk flashed a smile and Baki waved. They were seated opposite of each other. Baki was between Ghost and Bodil and Owkward was next to Haydz so I sat down in the empty seat next to him.

"So whose the stiff?" Baki asked when Adam sat down next to me. Seto snickered under his breathe and if I'd of been closer I would have kicked him.

"That's Sky. Little TyTy's BoyToy" Bodil chimed causing the table including myself to bust into laughter. Ghost thumped him on the back of the head.

"Enough joking aside. We're having a meeting for a reason." He said standing up and walking to the head of the table where no one was sitting.

"Now as you know we've drawn major attention to ourselves from the United States government. This is a huge issue because now this has happened." He picked up a remote and a flatscreen came outta the wall and flickered to life.

Wanted posters covered the screen. I felt Adam tense beside me at the sight of his own and I reached under the table and gripped his hand.

"Deadlox, Adam, Seto, Bodil and Simon are all on Wanted posters. Dead or Alive. The entire world knows about us now and that's dangerous."

"Which means it won't be long until he connects the rest of our team together. I think it's time this team moves to our safe houses." Owkward exclaimed, "I ain't going to jail."

"Owkward you and Haydz are 16. You'll go to Juvy not jail. Plus were not letting that happen" I chimed in, "Which safe houses?" Ghost clicked the button again and four faces appeared on screen.

"Deadlox. You're the main target here. We're having you moved completely out of this continent." I raised my eyebrows, "We're moving you to Australia with or agent Lachlan Powers." Australia? Couldn't be too bad.

"What about the rest of us?" Seto asked. "I get to stay with my family right?" Ghost nodded.

"You guys are heading back to the U.S actually. Texas. With Preston Arsement. A long time agent of ours." Seto sighed in relief and wrapped an arm around Brice kissing his temple. "Bodil and Simon are heading to Canada with Robert. The rest of us will be heading to England to stay with Vikram Barns."

"I've always wanted to go to England" Owkward said trying to lighten the mood. "Imma go pack my bags." He jumped up and headed out of the room and up the stairs. I knew he and Haydz bunked out in my old room.

"What about Adam?" I asked squeezing his hand, "He's wanted too. He can't go back to the FBI." Ghost crossed his arms staring us down from behind his mask.

"We have three options for Adam."

"Which are?"

"We can either turn him over to the authorities with an entire memory erase. Or he can come with us and move to the safe house with you Deadlox." He explained. Adam gulped at the idea of a memory wipe.

"What's the third option?" He asked shakily. I knew the answer. Seto leaned forward with a cheeky grin on his face.

"Death."

I jumped up quickly grabbing Seto by the front of his shirt.

"Your going to sit the fuck down and not open your mouth again or I will knock out your teeth." I shoved him back and stared him down. He adjusted his shirt and sat back down figuring it was best to listen to me. "Ghost he's left everything behind to go this far. He can come with me. He won't tell." I pleaded.

"Deadlox I trust your judgement. But not on this situation. Seto, Bodil move Adam into a containment room for further judgement." Both of them moved to do as he ordered. I pulled Adam up and pushed him behind me.

"Ghost please." I pleaded, "You've trusted my judgement a thousand times before. What makes now different?"

Seto moved in on my left and Bodil wrapped around the table to my right. I gripped Adams hand tighter.

I let my mind drift around the situation. I could fight back. I would take a swipe to the left and knock Seto to the ground. He's a bigger target than Bodil.

I eyed Bodil down who had stopped a few feet away. He swung harder with his left hand than he did his right. He always steps before he swings.

My gaze shifted to Seto who was watching me. He knew I was sizing him up, how easily I could take him out. He was a challenge that I had attempted many times.

I stood no chance against them both. If I fought there was no doubt Brice and Simon would just to assistance immediately.

Allowing my head to drop in defeat I released Adam's hand. Turning I faced him and saw a terrified look in his eye but a poker face.

"Don't worry. I'll figure this out." I whispered softly. He forced a nod and pressed a kiss to my forehead.

"I trust you." He said. I stepped back and Seto and Bodil seized his arms. He walked willingly with them down the hall and towards the basement.

The room was quiet. Slowly the rest of the group left the room trying to be as quiet as possible. Until it was just me and Ghost.

I turned and faced him. He was seated in his chair watching me arms folded on the table. I could only ask one thing.

"Why?"
