Irene chuckles and jokingly nudges Arthur's side. "Come on. I want to show you something."
She then jumps into her sattle and rides out of town with Arthur following after her.
"Where are we goin'", He asks.
"You'll see."

After a few hours of riding through endless grass lands they reach the feet of the mountains.
"Just up there. We might want to continue on foot", Irene suggests and hops out of her sattle.
"I swear to god, Irene, if we get attacked by a bear or cougar."
"Relax, will you", She laughs as she leads Arthur up the trail into the mountains.

They come to a natural platform where a campfire is ready to be lit.

"What's this", Arthur asks. "I prepared something."
"When did you even have time for this?" Irene chuckles. "I have my ways, Arthur Morgan."

She sits down onto the ground and pars the empty space next to her.
"Sit down or you'll miss it!" Arthur slumps down next to the woman and looks ahead as she points out her finger at the scenery.

The grass lands and small villages look like a painting under the setting sun. A sight you cannot miss.
"See", Irene says playfully. "It's beautiful", Arthur sighs as he watches the golden ball in the red sky.
"This was my favorite place to camp when I was out on my own. I never take people here. You're the first one."

Arthur's gaze shifts over to Irene who's eyes sparkle as the beams of light hit them.

"Why'd you take me here?"
Irene chuckles again. "Isn't it obvious? I like you, dammit."
Arthur's eyes widen. "You... you really mean that?" Irene nods with a calm smile.
"Arthur, the moment I saw you... I just kinda knew." Arthur thinks back on their first encounter.

Him entering the bar and seeing a small woman beat up the biggest guy in town never left his head.
"We had our fair share of trouble", He chuckles.
Irene nods. "I gave you the money back so we're all good."
Both laugh.
Irene lights the campfire and pulls out a few cans from her satchel as well as a small pot.

"So you lead me here to remember the old times", Arthur asks as he watches Irene prepare the food. "That as well", She says.
"What else?"

Irene sits back down next to Arthur.
"I've been thinking... a lot." Arthur's heart starts racing. "After your confession I was scared. Scared of the future." She lets out a sigh. "Now I know that I have nothing to worry about."
A smile appears on her face as she looks into Arthur's blue eyes.
"I like you too, Arthur."

His eyes widen. "As in... love", He asks to be sure. "Yes", Irene laughs in response.
"So... would you be willing to marry me?"

Irene looks up at him with a smile. "I am but we should take things slow. See if this really works, you know."
Arthur nods without hesitation.
"Of course! I don't want to push ya."
Irene smiles at Arthur.

She's happy that he understands. The other men she met were nothing like him.
Arthur is a kind soul but is serious when he needs to be. He doesn't push her as much as others did. Irene is happy that he met him and that he is the man she will never leave.

She carefully takes his big hand and places her other one onto his rough cheek.
"I love you, Arthur Morgan", She says. "And I love you, Irene."

They smile as their faces near each other.
"I've... never kissed a man before", Irene suddenly says.

"Then I'm glad to be your first."

With that Arthur pulls Irene's face towards his and gently places his lips onto hers. They mold into each other perfectly.

As if it was always meant to be.
