Toni yawned in exhaustion, and I chuckled.

"It's 2pm, why are you tired."

"I hate school !" She exclaimed, I shook my head.

"Taraj... how was your first day ??"

"From being homeschooled.... it was okay." he mumbled.

I got a call from my manager, and got up to go to my room.

"Hello ?"

"You need to come to this warehouse."

"Excuse me ?? What happened to hello ? How are you ?"

"Hello Yanni. You and the children must report to this warehouse immediately."

"I've sent the address." He said,

I groaned. "I was just going to take them to get ice cream."

"Ice cream can wait. Goodbye." He said,

I stared at my phone annoyed.

I debated on going to the warehouse. But this may be about helping the kids.

I pulled up to this, luxurious looking, all white, tall building. With the name,

'𝗜𝗡𝗡𝗢𝗩𝗔𝗧𝗘'

Hmm... off.

"Why are we here ?" I questioned, my manager,

Noticing all the people here in lab coats, even my manager.

"We need to borrow the kids."

Borrow??

"Umm why ?" I questioned.

"Just for.... JAMES ??? THE CHILDREN HAVE ARRIVED." He said.

"What the hell is going on ?" I asked him.

He sighed, "just a brief check up"

"— yea, well this isn't the ideal doctors office—" I started,

"Jeez Yanni ! Please step over there with the children. He will direct you."

I scoffed and scrunched my face.

I took the kids and walked slowly to one of the... teenagers in a lab coat.

"Hello, my name is James. Follow me." He said,

I hesitated and finally walked. He lead us to a room, with high technology, and some white chairs.

"We're here to examine the children, for something we may need."

"The hell ? What are you doing ???"

"Put this on child." He said, handing Toni a helmet with all sorts of beaming small lights.

He handed the rest of the children one.

"This procedure isn't intended to hurt them Ms.Yanni, here you go." He said, handing me a helmet.

"Step into those." He said, pointing to a clear pod, with lots of beaming lights. There were three.

"These pods can examine your body, through your eyes, and other aspects."

I said, as I read what the technology on the pod said.

"Here we go." He said, looking on his enlarged iPad.

He looked at the kids in amazement. And nodded his head.

"Okay, we found what we're looking for... children, please lay on these beds. And put this on."

Then he hooked up tiny tubes in different places.

"Okay, all done." He said,

"Can you please tell me—"

"AHHHHHHHH" one of the kids yelled, making me turn around quick.

"WHATS GOING ON ?! WHERE DID TONI GO ?" I asked the guy.

"I-I don't know ma'am" he started, intensely pressing a lot of buttons to try and see what happened.

"YANNI—" Taraj started, as he literally just evaporated.
