During the next five minutes, I rushed upstairs and tried to make myself look semi-presentable. I checked every angle of my room, trying to ensure that you wouldn't be able to see the box under my bed. Right as I was about to leave my room, I heard a knock at the door and went down to answer it. I opened the door to find a smiling Zac and an irritated Katrina standing at the door.
"He hasn't stopped about getting a stupid date with Jessie ever since he picked me up." She said, walking into the house.
"I'm proud, can't you just be happy for me?" He replied.
"Is she talking about the Jessie? As in cheerleader, popular Jessie. Jessie who is part of the Elites?" I asked, shocked.
"Yes. Now don't seem so surprised, she was the one who insisted on us going on a date." He responded.
"I'm sure she did." I laughed. He mocked an offended face as he made his way to the kitchen. Katrina had already dumped the grocery bags that were in her hands onto the table, causing some of the food to spill out of the bag. Zac tipped both bag upside down on the table and picked up a bar of chocolate, slowly opening it.
"Are you okay? You seem kind of, dazed." I turned to find Katrina staring at me with a concerned look.
"I'm fine, it's just been a long day." She didn't look convinced, however she decided to drop the subject. I stayed staring outside the window as a comfortable silence fell upon us, for a moment.
"So are we going to watch a movie, or just stand here being boring?" Zac asked as he ate the remainder of his chocolate bar and scrunch the wrapping in his hand.
"Oh yeah, right. Let's watch Clueless." Katrina said happily as she stood to leave the room.
"We watch that all the time." Zac complained, moving around the bench to make his way to the living room. Zac and Katrina's faint bickering could be heard from the kitchen as the argued about what movie to watch. I opened the fridge, grabbing a bottle of water and joined my friends in the living room.
After watching Clueless, Anchorman and Ted, it was 11:30pm and I stood at the door farewelling my friends. I watched Katrina and Zac enter the taxi that they had called, waited till it had turned the corner then shut the door. I heard my phones text tone from the living room. I checked the table, couch and floor before I found my phone wedged between the two couch cushions. Unlocking my phone, I opened the message.
"They seem like great friends. Katrina and Zac was it? - Sasha"
The grip on my phone loosen and my phone fell to the floor. I felt the blood drain from my face and the air began to feel thin. She wouldn't do this, she couldn't do this! I know that Sasha is still mad about what happened but it is crossing a line if she goes after my friends. I ran up the stairs, not bothering to clean the mess that I had made with Zac and Katrina, and fell face first onto my bed.
