I met one of the most outgoing humans in New York, Katrina Osland. As an only child, she's the closest thing that I have to a sibling. We've started a little group together. You've got James Barett, he's the computer geek. He knows anything and everything about all hacking programs. Then there's Casey Larkan. She's not afraid to throw a tantrum if she doesn't get what she wants, and will buy anything as long as it's pink. Last but not least, we have Zac Kilton. He only cares about two things, his looks, and his fortune. Although we may all seem completely different, together, we somehow manage to make things work.
With an unusual group like this, it's pretty obvious that not many people exactly like us. Everyone else have been separated by looks, wealth or knowledge. The Elites, they've got looks that could kill. One wrong move by them, and they could ruin your reputation for life. The Techs, their skills would make the FBI's work look like it was done by a five year old who had just learnt how to use a computer. And finally, there's the Rich, they could break all the school rules if that's what they desired, because if the school tried to expel them, their parents would right a fat cheque to the school for a new library or whatever new thing that they thought the school needed. Me? I'm stuck in the middle. I'm the gazelle in the middle of a lion's enclosure. My friends could all easily join other groups. Katrina and Zac would belong in the Elites, James in the Techs, and Casey in the Rich. For me, it wouldn't be so easy. I have money, but not enough to be a Rich. I'm not that good looking, so I wouldn't be an Elite, and I for sure didn't have the skills to be a Tech. So I guess I'm just lucky that my friends chose me over the others.
