I quickly made my way down the hallway, glancing back to ensure that there was no chance of Cameron catching up to me. As I turned the corner and headed to my locker, I could see Zac leaning on my locker with his bag still slung over his shoulder. I aggressively slammed the locker door opening, not caring to check if there was anyone there.

"Whoa. What's wrong, grumpy pants?" Zac said after seeing my mood.

"Oh nothing, just the fact that I had to sit through the worst lesson of the week by myself because my good buddy decided that he was too cool to make it to school on time." I spat back, sarcastically.

"I thought you loved Maths"

"Just because I love Maths, doesn't mean I have to love my classmates. But who ever said I loved Maths?" I said as I began gathering my books for next period.

"You're like Albert Einstein, don't tell me it's not your favourite subject."

I shut my locker and started to find my way to the tables where we all meet during the breaks, with Zac following closely behind me.

"I'm good at Maths. I don't love it."

"Okay, whatever you say." He replied, although it was clear he did not believe me.

Approaching the table, I could make out that everyone was there, except for Katrina. I glanced around trying to find her and was about to question her disappearance when I heard her familiar voice ring out from behind me. I turned to find her walking towards us with a puzzled look on her face.

"Why did Cameron just ask me if I would be up to helping him hook up with you, Natalie?"

"Oh gosh, can we change the subject please? I've had enough of Cameron for today." I sighed, beginning to get irritated by just the mention of his name.
