Things went back to being semi-normal. Percy was dragged out of his cabin every morning by his loving girlfriend and was hovered over until his plate was empty. After breakfast, Jason escorted Percy to the training arena, where they taught swordplay to the younger kids.
After Percy was done with his morning classes, he and Jason walked down to the dining pavilion and Annabeth took him to the lava wall. Percy was annoyed. All he wanted to do was sit alone in his cabin with the voice in his head all day, but the only time he was allowed to do that was at night.
"What if I just bash my head into the wall?" Percy groans. It was after curfew, and he was laying upside down on his bed.
'I mean, that would just give you one nasty headache and a pretty severe concussion,' Percy grumbled incoherently and sat up. Percy bit his lip in thought.
"I get no time alone except at night. How am I supposed to deal with you and my memories if they don't give me any room?"
'You should've-'
"Should've done it right the first time, yeah, yeah, I know." He says moodily. Percy sighed and closed his eyes. Before he could say anything, Percy could no longer feel his body as it went slack and he drifted into another episode. The only thing he could think was 'no' before he was sucked into his own mind.
*****flashback****
"Percy!" Annabeth was screaming, several yards from him. "Why did you leave me?!" Percy tried desperately to get to her but every time he did she seemed to move away from him.
"Annabeth! I didn't go anywhere! I didn't! I'm right here!" He cried, trying desperately to get to her.
"Percy!" She screamed again. Percy calls out to her but she seemed to not be able to hear him. Percy felt helpless. Annabeth couldn't see or hear him and he couldn't hold her and tell her it would be okay. Another fury swoops down. Percy slashes at it and it disappears as Percy feels another curse fall on him.
Percy cried out in pain and fell to the ground. 'Phineas.' He thought to himself as he felt his insides suddenly burn. Percy could feel himself already starting to slip away. He looked down to see his skin steaming. Percy then looked up at Annabeth who was still stumbling around blindly. "I'm sorry," he mumbles.
*****End of flashback*****
Percy gasps and coughs as his eyes fly open and he shoots up with a yell, gripping his bedsheets. "Shh, you're okay." A voice says from beside him. Percy's head snaps in the direction of the voice to see Annabeth kneeling down next to the bed.
"A-Annabeth?" he asks, squinting in the darkness.
"Yeah, it's me, Seaweed Brain. You were yelling my name. What's wrong?" She cooed, running her fingers through his hair soothingly. Percy rubbed his head and tried to remember calling for her.
"Nothing's wrong. Probably just a bad dream or something." He gives her a soft smile. She bites her lip but nods.
"Alright," She says with a nod. Annabeth kissed Percy's head and covered him up before walking out of the cabin. Percy sighed and laid awake for the rest of the night.
Anywho, hope you enjoyed it! Have an amazing *Enter time of day*!
