A muffled scream rang throughout the grounds of Camp Half-Blood, though everyone was used to this by now. Ever since Percy and Annabeth got back from Tartarus, they often woke up screaming from the horrible things that they saw and experienced down there. But like always, if one screamed, the other ran. So Annabeth ran, flinging open the door to cabin six and sprinting to cabin three.

However, when she got there, Annabeth was horrified by what she saw. "Percy," Annabeth whispers in shock. Then, when the horror in front of her registered, she screamed. "PERCY!!!"

Annabeth stared at her boyfriend in shock and horror. Her black-haired, green-eyed boyfriend lay on the floor in front of her, his wrists split open as blood gushed from them. His eyes were partially open and dull. He was laying in a pool of his own blood with a note neatly folded on his nightstand and a scalpel in his hand.

Finally, Annabeth unfroze and rushed over, throwing herself down beside Percy. "Pe-Percy!" She exclaimed. She ripped some of the hem of her shirt off and pressed the strips of fabric to his wrists in an attempt to stop the bleeding. She held him to her chest and shook him as she cried out for help at the top of her lungs.

"HELP!!" Annabeth screamed in desperation as she tried and failed to stop the bleeding. Tears began to stream down her cheeks as she screams louder, wishing, hoping, praying that someone, anyone would come and help. Come and save her Seaweed Brain.

Eventually, her screams were heard and Will, Kayla, Malcolm, Jason, Nico, Piper, Leo, and Chiron all came hurrying over to the cabin and stared inside in horror. Will and Kayla immediately hurry over. "Wh-what in the name of the gods?!" Will exclaims as he desperately attempted to stop the bleeding.

Annabeth was full-on sobbing, refusing to let go. Jason let out a quiet sob and Piper wrapped her arms tightly around him, holding him close. Leo's usual grinning features were filled with nothing but pain and sadness. Nico just stared at Percy's body, not wanting to believe what he saw.

"We need to get him to the water," Chiron says firmly. Will and Kayla nod and pick Percy up with Annabeth still firmly holding onto him. They all rush to the beach although Nico lingered. Will, Kayla, and Annabeth lay Percy in the water.

Five minutes. That's how long they waited for something, anything to happen. But after five minutes of Annabeth's desperate sobs and pleas to Percy as everyone else holding their breaths, hoping for a miracle from the gods, Nico could take it no longer. "Guys, he's gone," He says quietly. "Pe-Percy's gone. I saw his soul leave his body seven minutes ago."

"No!" Annabeth yelled. "He's not dead! You don't have a clue what you're talking about!" She splashed water over Percy's face. "C'mon, Seaweed Brain. C'mon! You promised! College, remember? New Rome, you and me, you can study anything you want I don't care just wake up!" She sobs. However, no matter how loud she screamed or how desperately she pleaded, it didn't work. And it would never work. Because Perseus Jackson, son of Poseidon, was dead. And he was never coming back.
