"I'm sorry?" Percy asks, putting on a face of confusion.
'That's it, Percy. Just bluff. They can't know about me. If they do, they'll stop loving you. They'll treat you differently, probably lock you up in a demigod psych-ward where the Half-bloods who went crazy go. '
'Is that even a place?' Percy asks himself. The voice did not answer. He internally sighed and turned his attention back to Will to realize that he had missed most of what Will had said. Percy, being the Seaweed Brain he was, smartly said, "What?" Will sighed and massaged his temples as if talking to Percy was giving him a headache.
"Long story short, if someone has PTSD, which you do, there are some instances of patients also developing what we call Auditory Verbal Hallucinations or A.V.H." He's just making up big fancy words. I am much more than a hallucination. The voice insists.
"Percy, listen to me." Will insists. "If you are hearing voices, it's alright. Just tell me so I know what I can do to help you."
'What will the others say? What will Annabeth say? 'That was the final straw. Percy decided that he would keep this mysterious voice to himself for as long as he lived.
"Nope, no voices," Percy says nonchalantly, lounging back on the bed and acting as chill as he could. Will raised an eyebrow but nodded.
"Alright, I am going to do some basic physical tests to check the aftermath of you-know-where on your body. Sound good?" Percy gave a distracted 'mhm,' and did as he was told.
After the check-up, Will told Percy to sit tight while he went over the results. Percy nodded and sat very impatiently. Will furrowed his eyebrows as he went over everything. Percy's weight was significantly decreased after Tartarus, which was to be expected, but what worried Will was that after a few weeks of Percy being back on a somewhat normal routine, Percy still wasn't gaining weight. In fact, he was losing it.
Will continued to look over the worrisome test results before sighing deeply and grabbing Percy's prescription of melatonin. "Alright, Percy," Will says, walking in with the bottle. "Here's your medicine. You can take anywhere from one to five milligrams depending on how awake you are, sound good?" Will asked as he hands Percy the bottle.
Percy nods and takes the bottle. "Thanks, Will. Hopefully, it'll help me sleep better." Will nodded and walked Percy to the front. Percy was about to leave when Will stopped him.
"Hey, Percy?" Will calls.
"Yeah?" Percy answers, walking back over to Will.
"If you ever need to talk, I'm here. I know we're not necessarily the closest but know that I'm here. Alright? The whole camp has your back."
Percy gives a small smile and waved goodbye before jogging off. Will sighed and watched Percy leave before walking back inside to try to make sense of everything. With a shake of his head, will began reading over Percy's file once more.
Have an amazing *enter time of day here* loves!
