"Sorry about that." Changbin scratches his head and pouts as he apologizes for the constant ruckus he brings.
I frowned at the sight. The apology was one thing but the gesture is another. He likes acting cute. It takes some getting to use to. I never actually fully known Binnie. It still shocking to see how he behaves differently at times.
"It's alright, I couldn't care less." I replied.
"Han-ah, I'm sorry... you almost disappeared in that circle of the crowd, you would have suffocated If I didn't pull you out." He added as if to remind me how I struggled so much at the crowd.
been there, done that.
It's a stampede every vacant hour at the back of the class because of Seo Changbin. I don't even know why we let them inside and let them hang out here.
"You're exaggerating. I'm just sitting here." I said twirling my pen, eyes still straight ahead to the board where the lecture is.
The teacher just left us with the work. Like he always does.
"You should learn to control them and draw a line. You're too friendly. You're bothering everyone in this class." I said breaking the silent air of our classroom.
The whole class turned my way when they heard that, while in the middle of a seatwork, putting words into their mouths was surely not nice yet we all know it's true. The rummage and the cleaners' burden after school that comes along with the heavy group of people entering and going out of our classroom for Binnie are ridiculous.
"What?" I looked at them confused, they are glossing over the fact at how disruptive the people tht adore Changbin are.
They just don't have the heart to speak out.
"We don't mind it, Binnie."
"Oh shut up, all of you baby him too much."
I earned a lot of shaking heads and dismayed sighs as they comforted the disheartened Hyung beside me.
"You shut up Han, You've been annoying , nitpicking what everyone does-
I stood up- "Oh yeah?! Fine- just because peoppe don't complain doesn't mean ir's fine. have some courtesy- and i'll shut up- As you wish." I zipped my own mouth, bowed and sat back down. Never speaking with any of them from them on, plugging my earphones on.
"Han, that was not cool."
They said it in various ways, some kind, some are not. I scoffed at them and didn't say anymore turning to the problem at my paper.
Changbin was apologizing on and on.
Day by day.
Despite the apologies, he consistently uses me to avoid his fans, and they even started giving me threats. The business I conduct on selling insider photos of him and other famous classmates of mine has become a medium of harassment. But that much was expected. I am in no way hurt at such trivial things. I've been through worse.
I still earn through it and support the class just as how I used to before, but now just quietly. I may have been kicked out of my position but my co-officers still turns to me for help with the fundings, nonetheless, they promised that they will keep it discreet.
Giving me satisfaction to seeing how we are crawling behind the star section. Better production in our participation from school events to more class snacks.
Although, I might refuse it in front of their faces.
I treasure them deeply.
I confided with fewer people, just to keep everything low, to separate myself from them. My records have tainted this class well enough. Jae and Stephen would have me meet them in the storage to discuss and spend some time. They're the only one who never changed they acted around me.
And my decision of taking the blame for them with the last issue was a point of no return. I have a lot of other things to do. One of them is being Changbin's bodyguard as he now kept on stealing one of my earbuds during launches much as he uses me as a human shield.
I barely eat lunch so I stuck around ending up to these plain minutes of bobbing heads and fingers tapping on the rhythm from the earphones and he forces me to eat, sharing the lunchboxes he gets.
I don't mind. Surprisingly, being pushed around by him kept me entertained.
Mindlessly, I offered my earbuds when we walked on the way out of school grounds, he was a bit surprised, before i could ponder and retract my hand- he gladly took it. I picked up this habit after, and He got me used to sharing it with him.
It was quite, calming.
He seemed to like my music. I am building my name at the underground scene, producing a few songs, sometimes battle it out with few talented people too. As someone who has a following on that side of the world, I still think he should put a distance between him and those random people. He might be able to mask it out perfectly but I can see how taxing it is to him. You should be open to your fans or whatever.
He just kept on dragging me along with him with whatever...that comes into his mind, and it just turned out this way.
Like I said, I still couldn't care less.
