Carina's POV

I got a call from Andy that Maya wasn't feeling well so I gathered my things and went to tell Bailey that I had to leave to pick her up. I knocked on the door of her office. "Come in" I heard Bailey say. I walked in to see Bailey sitting on the couch with Ben.

"Oh hi Ben, what are you doing here?" I asked "Travis was admitted because he had a seizure, so me, Andy, Sullivan, and Vic came. Vic is still here with him, Andy and Sullivan went back to the station, and I stayed to have coffee with my wife" Ben said as he kissed Bailey on the cheek "Oh is he ok?" I asked "Yeah but he has to stay to try and get his fever down, he should be able to go home tomorrow" Ben said"Oh well, I came to ask if I could leave early cause Maya's not feeling well and so Andy called me to pick her up" I said "Of course, tell her I hope she feels better" said Bailey "I will thanks, Ben want a ride back to the station?" I said "Umm yeah sure, I'll see you later babe" Ben said as he kissed Bailey goodbye "Bye guys" Bailey said as she went back to sit at her desk. Ben and I drove back to the station. "Do you think it's the same thing you had a few weeks ago" Ben asked "Maybe, it sounds like it. Andy said she has a fever, she's throwing up, and coughing" I said while driving "I hope she doesn't end up like Travis" Ben said. I turned and gave him a worried look "Oh my god, Carina I'm sorry I shouldn't have said that" Ben said, sympathetically.

I just kept on driving and hoped to god Maya was alright. 5 minutes later, we pulled up to the station and I rushed in to find Maya. "Hi, do you know where Maya Bishop is?" I asked someone sitting at the front desk "The last I heard she was in her bunk-" he said before being interrupted by Ben "I'll take her, thanks Cutler" Ben said. Ben led me to the bunk rooms and showed me where Maya's was. I walked in to see her and Andy laying on the bed together asleep. I took a picture before going over and relieving Andy and taking her place. I laid there just watching her sleep and admiring how beautiful she is, even while she's sick. A few minutes later, I decided it was time to take her home. "Bambina" I said while rubbing her cheek. She felt so warm, it broke my heart seeing her like this. She was never this vulnerable. She slowly started to wake up.

When she saw me she grew the biggest smile on her face. "Hi bambina" I said to her as she woke up "Hi" she said quietly "How do you feel?" I asked as I felt her forehead but she moved my hand "Fine I just needed to sleep, I have to go back to work now" she said as she tried to get up "Uh uh bambina, Andy said you threw up and you have a fever you're not working" I said pulling her back down on the bed "Carina, please I'm fine just let me go back to work" Maya said as she tried to fight me to get up but then started coughing really hard and sat back down on the bed. "Maya come on, let's get you home, no arguments!" I said bluntly. She looked up at me looking defeated "Ok fine" she said, annoyed. I helped her get up and we walked out to my car. She got in and buckled herself in and I did the same, then we drove home. About 20 minutes, later we arrived home and when we got in I sent Maya straight to bed, she argued a bit but eventually went. I then went to get the thermometer and some medicine. I walked back in to see Maya turned to face the wall in a hoodie with the hood up.

"Are you ok?" I asked "I'm not talking to you" she said sounding agitated "Oh is that right?" I said while rolling my eyes. I walked over to her side and tried to take her temperature but her hoodie was in the way. I sighed in frustration "Can I please take your temperature, bella?" I asked. She laid there a minute and then pulled down her hood so I could take her temperature. "101.7°, it went up a little bit. I'll be back in a bit bella, just try to rest ok" I said. She just pulled her hood back up over her head and didn't answer me. I went back into the living room and put my head down on the counter. I tried to figure out what I could do for Maya but she was being so stubborn and childish, I didn't know what to do. I decided to just leave her alone for now and I would check on her later. I sat on the couch and was texting some of my friends when all of the sudden... "Carina" I heard and turned to see Maya standing in the hallway looking like she was gonna fall. I quickly got up and grabbed her.
