Chapter 5

Maya's POV

"CARINA CALL 911!!!!!" said Maya practically screaming "Ok ok" said Carina "Andy, Andy come on wake up wake up" said Maya frantically checking if she's breathing and has a pulse "I got a pulse and she's breathing but it's very shallow" said Maya worried "The ambulance should be here in about 10 minutes" said Carina "That'll take too long, give me the phone and put her on the couch" I said as Carina handed me her phone and picked Andy up and set her on the couch. I dialed a number and waited for someone to pick up "Station 19, this is Vic how may I help you?" said Vic on the phone "Vic I need you and Sullivan to come in the aid car to my apartment and hurry" said I frantically " What, are you ok what's wrong?" said Vic worried "It's Andy, we found her passed out in the hallway and she has a pulse but her breathing is very shallow and she's burning up just get here and nevermind Sullivan just tell him to meet us at the hospital!!" I said "Ok we're going now" said Vic as she hung up.

 I ran to the kitchen and grabbed the thermometer and ran back to the couch where Carina was stroking Andy's hair. I took Andy's temperature and it read 104.3° " Carina" I said scared out of my mind as I showed Carina the thermometer "Ok bambina, calm down she's going to be ok she just needs fluids and then when she gets to the hospital they'll do a bunch of tests to figure out what's wrong with her" said Carina while stroking my hair "She's going to be fine" Carina once again repeated "She's my best friend" I said with tears flowing down "I know bella" said Carina pulling me into a hug as I began to sob.

 About 5 mins later, I was crouched down on the floor hugging Andy as we waited for our friends to get here with the aid car. I then felt a little wriggle and I looked up and saw Andy awake "Maya?" said Andy incredibly weak " Andy! You're awake" I said as I heard a knock at her door. Carina opened the door and Vic and Ben rushed in the door with a gurney and a med bag. "How is she?" asked Ben "Pulse is good, temp is 104.3° last time I checked and her breathing is very shallow, she just woke up and is very disorientated" I said scared "Ok we got her now Maya" said Vic putting her hand on my shoulder and going to help Andy. They got an IV in Andy's arm and started giving her fluids. They then loaded her up on the gurney to take her to the hospital "You coming Maya?" asked Vic. I then looked at Carina and she nodded "I'll meet you at the hospital, just go" she said she gave me a kiss "Ok thanks babe". They all left and made their way to the hospital. I held Andy's hand the whole time. 

"Maya" said Andy "I'm here, you're going to be ok, I promise" I said stroking my thumb back and forth on the back of her hand "Robert?" said Andy "He's meeting us there, don't worry" I said as I stroked her hair back. "You told him to meet us there right?" I asked Vic "Yes but I didn't tell him what for" said Vic. I could tell Vic wanted to ask but we both knew it wasn't the right time.

 We finally got to the hospital and the doctors rushed out to meet us. "Andy Herrera, 30 year old female, found passed out at home, temp of 104, very shallow breathing, awake now but disorientated" said Ben as he loaded Andy out of the aid car "We started a IV at the house to get a head start on her fluids" said Vic "Ok thanks we got it from here, she's gonna be fine" said Dr. Grey. As they brought her inside, I saw Sullivan getting out of his car from the corner of my eye " Sullivan, over here" I said " I thought she just had the flu, what happened?" he asked scared out of his mind " Carina found her passed out in the hallway this morning, we don't know what's wrong, come on let's go to the waiting room" I said trying to stay calm "Ok" he said as we made our way to the waiting room.

No one's POV

"Ok on my count one, two, three" Meredith said as they transferred Andy from the gurney to the hospital bed. "Ok I need all standard tests, CBC, EKG, urine, and CT just in case she hit her head" said Meredith "Robert" said Andy disorientated "He's in the waiting room Herrera but let us take care of you first" said Meredith.
