Chapter 7

Andy's POV

It was the next day and Dr. Grey came into my room to give me my discharge papers. "Just sign these and you're free to go, and remember no work for 2 weeks." said Dr. Grey "Yeah, I know" I said annoyed at the fact that I couldn't work for 2 weeks "And also remember to set up an appointment with Carina for next week to see how the baby's doing" said Dr. Grey "I will, thank you" I said "No problem, you have my number call me if anything's wrong" said Dr. Grey. I nodded and I continued packing my stuff when Maya walked into the room.

"Hey, are you ready to go?" asked Maya "Yeah, just have to use the bathroom" I said "You need some help?" asked Maya "Maya I'm a big girl, I can go to the bathroom by myself" I said walking to the bathroom "Ok, I'll finish packing the rest of your stuff" said Maya. After I finished using the bathroom a nurse came in with a wheelchair to take me to Maya's car. When we got outside, Maya pulled her car around and they helped me get in. "Are you ok Ms Herrera?" asked the nurse "Yes, thank you so much" I said giving her a hug from my seat in the car "You're welcome, take care" said the nurse as she walked back into the ER. "Are you ready to go home?" asked Maya "Very" I said and then we drove home. When we got home, we walked in to find Carina sitting on the couch watching TV.

"Andy, you're back! How're you feeling?" asked Carina "Better, but still a little crappy" I said sitting down in the chair "Want me to make you something to eat?" asked Carina "No thanks, food is the last thing on my mind right now" I said "Bambina, you have to eat something you're pregnant that's not good for your baby" said Carina "Fine I'll eat some toast" I said annoyed "Ok I'll go make you some" said Carina. While Carina was making my toast I decided to text Robert.

A-Andy R-Robert

A- Hey

R- Hi beautiful, are you ok?

A- Yeah, Maya just brought me home

R- That's good, I wish I could've brought you home though😔

A- Me too, I miss you

R- I miss you too, so when do you want to tell the team?

A-Maybe when I get back, I'll have to think about it

R- Alright

A- Can you come over tomorrow after shift, Maya and Carina are going out

R- I'll be there as soon as I get off, I love you get some rest today❤️😘

A- I'll try, I love you too and I can't wait to marry you😘😘😘

R- Counting down the days❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

"Here's your toast" said Carina, startling me "Oh thanks" I said. I hesitantly took a bite and it wasn't bad I just wasn't in the mood to eat but if it would get Maya and Carina off my back then so be it. After I finished my toast we all sat in the living room and watched some TV, when I started feeling weird.

Maya looks over at me "Andy are you ok?" Maya asked "Yeah, just still not feeling too great" I said holding my stomach "Well you just got out of the hospital for being very sick and you're pregnant so that's to be expected,why don't you go lay down and I'll bring you some water" said Maya "Thanks" I said as I went to my room "Here's your water" said Maya "Thanks" I said and then I drank some of the water.

"Here, Carina wants me to check your temp just in case" said Maya. I moved my hair out of the way as she stuck the thermometer in my ear "99.2°, not too bad just a low grade fever, do you want any medicine" said Maya "No, I'm good thank you Maya I just want to sleep, it's been a long week" I said pulling up my blanket "Ok we'll be out here if you need us" said Maya. I nodded and turned over to face the wall. I hold my hand on my stomach and think to myself "Am I really ready for this?".
