Chapter Twenty-Two

Reader

I got to find someone. I have to get help. I need help!

They're both crazy... Insane even. I don't know when it happened, or how it happened... But if they truly did kill my parents, then they may have been crazy to begin with.

I fumbled with my phone while running, constantly looking over my shoulder for signs of Shuichi and Kokichi. They're probably following me, so I need to call Kirumi before it's too late.

Shuichi

"You said you require my assistance?"

I nodded, acting as though it was hard to ask this of the ultimate maid. I recognized that my nerves from having (Name) so close made my heart beat rapidly, so I used that to my advantage.

"Yes. I-I'm trying to solve a case, and I think the culprit might be after me."

Kirumi frowned, concern clearly displayed in her expression. She doesn't suspect anything.

Perfect.

"I'd be more than willing to-"

Before she could finish her sentence, she fell to the ground dead. Kokichi came out of his hiding spot, gun in hand. He sighed in annoyance as he put his gun away.

"I know taking out those (Name)'s likely to try to find first is important and all, but I hate the idea of going around doing this before actually finding (Name)."

As much as I hate to admit it, I understand how Kokichi feels. My (Name)... I can't live without her.

"Once we take care of Kaito and Maki we should be able to go after (Name), so no use complaining." I stated, grabbing my own gun and making sure it was ready before hiding it again.

Maki is going to be hard to kill...

Reader

I went to Kirumi's dorm room, but there was no response. I know Kirumi has lots of people she helps, but she's not even responding to the texts and calls I sent.

I'm starting to get worried.

Kokichi

"You do realize it's not easy to hack phones? You seriously need to be more patient."

Shuichi rolled his eyes, plopping down on the nearby chair. He pulled out his phone, occupying himself with it. He's probably looking at pictures he took of (Name). He does seem like the type to get off to even a blurry picture of her-

To be fair, I'm also that type...

"Whatever. I pulled my weight killing Kaito and Maki, so don't expect me to help you with the hacking."

Now it was my turn to roll my eyes. Seriously Shuichi, you truly think you're made for (Name) when you act like that...?

Hopefully (Name) will make the right decision and choose me...

I can't find anyone! There's no way Kokichi and Shuichi took them all out, right? They're just two guys... There's no way they could take everyone out.

Bzz. Bzz.

I pulled out my phone which had been vibrating to indicate that I finally got a text back from Kirumi. Thank god, I had thought she had died.

My apologies for not responding until now. I have been very busy with various clients. If you'd like, you can come see me. I need to finish setting up something for a client, but I can still talk if you don't mind coming to see me. I'll share my location.
