4. I'm Max

Where could she have gone? It's killing me not knowing where she is. It's making Zach depressed. And I can't have my wolf being depressed and moping around. "Kai!!! We found her condo. It's in the city!" Travis yelled out. My head snapped up. I got my jacket and went into my car.

We got to the condo, but it was locked. I kicked the door open and I see bodies, hearts, heads and blood everywhere. Please tell me she is alive! "Alpha, they are rogue vampires. The girl isn't here. Did you think she killed them all?" One of the wolves said. That's what I was going to ask myself. Did she?

"She did," the voice behind us at the door said.

Hybrid.

He put his hands up in surrender.

"Hello my king. I'm Max. I'm the only family she has left."

I felt a twinge of anger. I felt jealous.

"She's MINE." I growled.

"Ohhhhh. So you are the one she told me about. I had feeling."

"She told you?" I asked.

"Yup. But she didn't get to finish whatever she was going to say next because I heard a loud pounding on her door and she hung up. She can be very scary. Don't underestimate her. She can take you and your pack down."

She's strong. I like that.

"What's her name?" I asked.

He hesitated for a moment.

"She'll kill me if I say."

I growled at him.

"Fine. Adelina. Her name is Adelina Petrova."

Adelina.

She has a pretty name Kai.

She definitely does. It suits her.

Zach whimpers.

What are you waiting for?! Let's find Adelina!

I smirked.

Our mind link was cut off.

"My Adelina," I whispered.

"Where would she go, Max?"

"She never tells me where she goes. She says it'd be safer for me not knowing, since Bayard is after her."

"What?! He is after her?!" I shouted.

"Yeah. He killed her pack thirteen years ago. When he found out that she was alive he started hunting her down. Along the way she found me and basically saved my life. She's like my little sister. I can't lose her. We only have each other."

"She has me now," I said.

"True, but she doesn't know know you. Even if her wolf begs to be near you, she wouldn't let it happen."

That breaks my heart.

"She'll go to any place that has lots of snow. She can easily camouflage in the snow and she loves the snow."

She loves the snow. Good to know.

Suddenly a fire bursted in the air and a note drops down into Max's hands. He obviously got startled because he cursed under his breath. I smirked. His eyes turn sad and worried. I snatched the note and read it.

Dear Max,
You are probably in my condo right now and you've see the mess I've made. And I'm probably far away by now. There will be more vampires coming to find me. Maybe even werewolves and witches. This is the last time we will be in contact. Don't try to find me. I can't lose you. You're my big brother. I'll miss you. We'll be reunited once I take him down. I love you.
