Today I wokeup sad to the fact that today is the day i got married and what was supposed to be the happiest day of my life. Now it's just a memory of a failed marriage.

I get ready to start the day and head to work.

I check my service:

George O'Malley

At least it's not Meredith I would be hearing a never ending line of, are you ok?

I move into Merediths place this weekend that means tomorrow, I have to see the house I lived in with my husband. I haven't been there since I came back.

I take deep breath. When I hear someone calling my name.

"Melody? Are you ok?" A familiar voice says.

I look up to see Mark looking down at me concerned.

"Yes I'm ok I just haven't had coffee yet. " I say with a smile.

"Ok." He furrows his eyebrows still skeptical. "Here." He says while handing me a cup of coffee.

I take the cup looking at him with an awed expression. "You got me coffee?"

He nods his head as he walks away.

I down the coffee quickly not bothering on how hot it is. When I notice Meredith standing there eyes slanted.

I walk up to her and throw away my empty cup of coffee.

"Before you ask. I'm fine, really." I say.

She doesn't look too convinced.

That's when I see George, saved by the bell yet again.

"Hold on Georgie, I need to speak with my sister" Meredith says as she pulls me into an on call room.

"Meredith I'm fine! I swear I'm fine." I say trying to convince her and myself.

"I'll have you know I wasn't going to ask you if you were fine, I was going to tell you could take the basement.". She crosses her arms.

"Oh well yeah, Since there's like 5 people living there, I'll take the basement. Is that all?" I ask looking down to my watch. I have about ten minutes before my next appointment check up.

"She called." She simply states.

"What when?"

"Yesterday." She says.

She, is my mother Ellis Grey, She was never there for us really she was way to busy being a doctor to spend time with her kids.

"Well the home called and she's sick, it's bad Mel." Before I can answer her my pager beeps. I give her a quick hug. "Well im sorry for her then." I rush out quickly taking my leave.

"George! Let's go."

"Are you ok?" He says.

"Oh no did Meredith tell you to do this? Because if she did I'm fine I don't need her or anybody pestering me." I say annoyed Meredith is telling her friends to make sure I'm ok.

"No, no" He waved off quickly. "She didn't tell me to ask. You just don't look ok. " He frowns lightly concerned.

"Well George I'm fine, What is not fine is the fact that we are wasting time instead of checking on our patients. Would you rather focus on me? Or the your job?" I don't wait for an answer as I walk off George following.

After checking up on all my patients I'm ready to head home.

I walk out to see Mark I give him a quick wave before I make my way to my car only to hear him call my name.

"Melody!" I turn around to see Mark.

"Sorry I've been a little distracted." I say.

"Are you sure, your ok?" He asks.

"Yes I'm fine Mark it's just been a stressful day." Now I had been trying to convince the both of us that was a problem.

"Well since your ok, you can have a coffee with me tomorrow."

"Tomorrow?" I ask.

"Yes tomorrow morning."

"Umm I - " I freeze.

"Melody it's just coffee." He says shrugging.

"Ok I'll have just coffee with you tomorrow." I say as I get into my car.

"Goodbye Mark." I hear him mumble something but he's too far gone to hear it clearly.

On my drive to the hotel I run up to my room an decide to shower. Once I leave the room and open up my laptop. Photos are all I see wedding day photos that I actually look happy in.

Next thing I know is I'm crying on the floor. Only to be interrupted by a knock at the door. I quickly wipe me tears and make my way to the door as soon as I open it there's Meredith standing in front of me before she pulls me into a hug.

I continue to cry on her shoulder as she comforts me throughout the rest of the night.
