Diya Kumari sipped her tea beside Vrishali, who laughed as Akshita said something funny. Diya Kumari no longer harbours any hatred toward Vrishali. Although she used to dislike her, they have come to a common ground and are trying to work on their relationship. It's better to be late than never work on it.

Padmanabh walked into the gazebo, placed down the plate of biscuits and looked at the tea cups. Vrishali had finished her tea. "Do you want me to refill your cup?" Vrishali smiled up at him. "No, but please sit down. You have been baking non-stop." Diya Kumari scuffed but didn't comment on anything.

When Diya Kumari started meeting them every Saturday evening at their home. She was surprised by her son's involvement in making tea and snacks in their kitchen. It was hard for her to watch it but slowly she got around. She loves her son's tea and biscuits or cookies that he bakes.

On a rare occasion, she had tasted Vrishali's tea. She understood why Padmanabh worked around the kitchen. Vrishali couldn't make tea to save herself. "Ma, I baked your favourite butter cookies. I also packed two boxes. Don't forget to take them along."

Diya Kumari smiled. "Thank you, beta." Vrishali looked at Diya Kumari. She poked Padmanabh, Padmanabh looked at Vrishali, and Vrishali made a look. He chuckled before looking at Diya Kumari. "Ma, do you mind if I ask something?"

Diya Kumari placed the teacup down. "Yes." Her gaze went to Vrishali, who was looking at the kids. Diya Kumari knew it was about Vrishali. "Vrishali is launching a new collection in two weeks."

"Okay, that's good. And?" Padmanabh let out a chuckle. He massaged the back of his neck in nervousness. "She loves your nakshi necklace that you wore recently to a wedding. She needs the piece for a small photoshoot, as that necklace would go well with one of the sarees from her collection. You know how important this collection is for her. She had been working on it for a year now."

Diya Kumari relaxed. Her mother passed down the nakshi necklace, which features a long haram. She gifted it to Naina while she was pregnant with Akshita. Diya Kumari cherished that necklace and seldom wore it.

She took a minute to process the request Padmanabh had asked. "Pick it up on Sunday. I don't want any damage to happen to it. My mother passed it down, and I respect it so much. So, be careful while wearing it."

Vrishali beamed, and she let out a happy yelp. "Thank you! Thank you! I will take good care of it."  Diya Kumari was directly looking at Vrishali. Diya Kumari let out a cough to hide her smile.

Padmanabh and Vrishali beamed, and the kids looked at them confused. "Mamu, do you believe that dolls can talk?" Akshay asked. "No, who said dolls could talk?"

"Exactly, who believes that dolls can talk?" Akshay asked, looking at Akshita. "But I saw in that movie that even Kristi said dolls talk!"

"What movie are we talking about?" Vrishali asked, placing a hand on Padmanabh's thigh. Narendra and Naina were looking at the rose plantations that Padmanabh had recently worked hard on. Diya Kumari has her gaze fixed on her husband and daughter.
