"Let's do it again from the start," Vrishali said, stopping the music

"Let's do it again from the start," Vrishali said, stopping the music. "Aadi bhaiyya, you are missing the steps, and you should not step on Riddi Didi's feet." Vrishali groaned and watched them make the same mistake.

"The steps are tricky." Riddi shook her head. They are practising for the Sangeet. They can't lose it to the groom's side.

"Bhai, we only have seven hours before Sangeet. You can't mess it up, Nandini didi will have our heads in a roll if we mess," Manav added. Aadi groaned, whipping the sweat off his forehead.

"Shut up." Riddi, Nandini, and Vrishali have a separate eight-minute dance they have practised for a month. The only thing they haven't perfected is this group dance. Vrishali clapped her hands.

"Let's cool down for five minutes and get started again. We can't lose it to the groom's side. I have a burning desire to slap our dance on their faces."

Aadi and Manav raise their brows as Vrishali's face darkens. They had met the groom's side, and everything was going well until it didn't. The groom's cousin has challenged them, and Vrishali isn't the one to back down from a challenge, especially when they are arrogant and egoistic.

Padmanabh pulled Vrishali into his arms, and Vrishali nodded as they continued with the other steps. Their limbs are sweaty, but Vrishali is hell-bent on perfect practice with Padmanabh.

"You know, Ajithesh is waiting for me." Padmanabh was amused. "Ajithesh bhaiya can wait. I need my husband here with me."

"And please, don't forget the steps. We have been practising this for a month now." Vrishali groaned. "Okay. . . Okay. . . I promise I won't." They have been practising for an hour now.

Padmanabh took Vrishali by surprise as he pulled her into his arms. She touched his chest as he backed her up against the nearest wall with the murals. Vrishali looked up at Padmanabh with bewildered eyes. "What?" Padmanabh placed his big hand on her sweaty waist and dipped it, and Vrishali's eyes widened.

"And now, do you think we've got enough time for ourselves before someone knocks on our door?" His eyes were darkened, and Vrishali's cheeks burned with the intensity with which Padmanabh was looking at her. She let out a breath when Padmanabh leaned down and took her mouth with his.

A moan left Vrishali as she pulled him closer and wrapped her arms around his neck. They itched closer, deepening the kiss, Padmanabh lifted Vrishali off the floor. Vrishali wasn't surprised as she wrapped her legs around his waist.

Padmanabh leans back on his hands as he watches Vrishali get ready. She wore a green lehenga, blouse with tussles and jewels. His eyes met hers in the mirror. "Do you think the neck is too deep?"

Padmanabh's gaze goes to her neckline. The neck is deep, but it wouldn't be a problem. "No, it isn't. Even if it is, it wouldn't matter. What matters is that the colour and lehenga look beautiful on you."
