"You know, if I had a dick, it would probably be bigger than his."

A month had passed, and people had started to heal. The flowers around Jackson's memorial had wilted, including a rose Lydia had left. Things really were getting better in Beacon Hills; it was clear to see.

Yet, there was always a reminder of what had happened. "Before the period ends, I just wanted to make an announcement." Mrs Martin started. "As you all know, today is the one month anniversary of the tragedy at Melody Lane... and the unfortunate murder of Jackson Whittemore-"

"Boring!" The attention of the class was soon drawn to Jennifer, who had her head in her hands. Her skin looked pale, and her hair was greasy. It looked like she hadn't slept for days; her mood dampened.

"Jesus, what a bitch." Another classmate muttered nearby. Sadly, Lydia was forced to endure her foul mood.

Mrs Martin continued with an irritated tone. "As I was saying, Jennifer and Lydia," Her daughter narrowed her eyes, having not done anything. "I finally have some good news to share. The members of the rock and roll group, Lance & Griffin, have decided to support us during this trying time. As you all know, their song 'Through the Trees' has become the anthem of Beacon Hills. And they have decided to release it as a benefit single."

Lydia sat up, confused. "What?"

"Three per cent of the profits will go to local families who have been affected by loss." She informed the class.

"And what about the other ninety-seven per cent? Come on, that's just crass." Lydia pointed out. However, it seemed that her classmates did not share the same views. "Crass? It means greedy or exploitative. That's literally what this band is doing; they're exploiting a tragedy."

"Lance & Griffin are American heroes." A girl, Chasity, stated. She noticeably displayed her affection for the band through the use of their merchandise.

"No, they're not! I was there, Chasity. They didn't help anybody escape the fire. How did that rumour even start?" she asked.

Chasity looked offended. "Rumour? It's on Wikipedia!"

"Yeah, a website that people can edit stuff on." Lydia sarcastically mentioned. "I bet we wouldn't even know who they were if they hadn't been playing that night. They used us."

With fury in her eyes, Chasity stood up. "You take that back, Lydia Martin!"

"Girls-!" Mrs Martin attempted to interrupt them.

"We need them now more than ever." She believed.

Lydia rolled her eyes. "We really don't!"

"That's enough!" Just then, the bell rang and the class began to leave. Chasity continued to glare at Lydia until she left the classroom, disappointed in her for some reason. In fact, loads of her classmates stared at her displeasingly, even her own mother.
