What Happens When Pushed Too Far Part 1

{Chapter Start}

Sonia, Manic, and Aleena did their best to stay out of sight of any of Eggman's new -at least new to them- robotic troops. It had been easy so far, since they seem to prioritize the person running through their maker's defenses up top, who the family assumed was Sonic, before the Egg Carrier began to shake once more while the Hedgehog family struggled to keep on their feet, "Man whatever Sonic's doing up there, he's doing it good." Sonia's eyebrow twitched in annoyance at her youngest brother's statement, "Could he at least TRY not to send this thing falling into the ground?!" "Sonia Manic, I know you're both concerned for Sonic, but right now the best thing we can do right now is getting of Robotnik's new flying fortress. If we aren't here, Robotnik won't have any pieces to bargin with, and Sonic won't have to worry about us." Sonia and Manic frowned but nodded none the less. The two siblings knew they were capable in their own right, as did their mother, the two had no way of keeping up with their brother's natural speed.

Before the three could continue moving, they saw a shadow drop down in front of them. The figure stood, revealing a female Mobian bat dressed fully in a dark purple, edging on black, suit that covered her entire body save her eyes, and the dark pink heart in the center. The bat Mobian stood up while Manic and Sonia stood in front of their mom ready for a fight, "Queen Aleena, a pleasure to meet you. I was sent here by G.U.N to escort you and your kids to safety." though they couldn't see it, the family could hear the smirk the bat had, as if she could handle the siblings if she were here to capture them, which put the two siblings on edge, "My team will handle distracting Dr. Eggman, along with making sure your other son doesn't do anything too brutal." that got the family's, especially Aleena's, attention, "And exactly how do you know Sonic?" "That's a long story, and we don't have much time." that answer did little to calm Aleena's suspicions of the bat Mobian, but she held her tongue, for now at least, "Wait, what'd you just call Robotnik?" Manic asked with a grin on his face, as what the female Mobian said finally caught up with him, and he hoped he was hearing right, "Huh, so that's Eggy's name. I always wondered." Manic found it harder to keep himself from laughing while Sonia and Aleena were confused at the name.

Sonic, while still enraged, finished tearing through the last of the Egg Fleet, leaving only the Egg Carrier 2. The dark hedgehog glared at flying fortress with rage in his eyes, before he spotted something, or rather someone. Faster than anyone could track, Sonic was on the deck of the ship, walking towards the person he spotted, "I told you to stay out of my way Shadow." Shadow stood in front of Sonic, only slightly surprised at how Sonic looked, "I must say Sonic, your new appearance is rather jarring." Sonic growled at Shadow's comment while the ultimate lifeform continued, "Regardless, my team was assigned to rescue her highness. Rouge is doing that while Omega and I distract the doctor, along with keeping you from doing anything rash. Eggman WILL be facing severe consequences for this." Sonic growled more, before his quills went down and returned to dark blue, while his skin became tanned once more. The dark aura around him was still there, but was far more tame than it was a few moments ago, "Fine, but I'm the one who's gonna put him in the cell. That fat bastard's crossed a line and I'm gonna break him for it." with his statement said, Sonic rushed into the Egg Carrier 2, leaving a dark blue streak behind him. Shadow stared at the retreating form of Sonic, before quickly following him, leaving an orange streak behind.

It didn't take long for Sonic and Shadow to quickly make it through Eggman's robotic henchmen, with Sonic being the most brutal of the two, leaving Egg Pawns as nothing more than scrap metal and not slowing down for even a second. Shadow, while concerned for the blue Mobian's mental state, pressed on while destroying any Egg Pawns in his way.
