Chapter 29: Christmas in Looniversity

(Christmas time.)

Carrie finishes putting the star up on the tree. "Done. Isn't this exciting Yakko? Crakko's first official christmas with us. Can you believe it?" She slips on her Christmas sweater as Yakko gave her a sweet kiss on the cheek. MacKenzie comes in with her own home cooked meal. "Hey guys. This casserole was taking forever to cook, but it pulled through in time." Wakko came up to her and gave her a soft kiss under the mistletoe. "Hey there darling. Glad you could make it." The kids soon come out wearing matching sweaters and they all sit together. "I'm glad that we can all spend Christmas together like this. It just wasn't the same without you guys." Lauren rubbed her neck and Crakko tilted his head. "What sissy mean?" He asked her and Dot nodded in agreement. "Yeah. What do you mean?"

Lauren took a breath in and turned to Crakko. "Well this was way before you, but you know how we got chased out, correct?" Crakko nodded and Lauren continued the story. "Well Christmas' were never really the same after all that happened. One Christmas Day in Looniversity, the kids were seeing how I really felt and decided to pitch in on the best Christmas ever. Even the teachers got involved." Carrie chuckles a little bit. "Oh I remember that. I thought that it was cute when it was Hamton's whole idea." MacKenzie wrapped an arm around Wakko and listened. "Can you give us full details?" "Of course, but first, cue the intro!!" Lauren claps as the screen faded to black and the Christmas special intro began to play.

The logo shows up and all the Tiny Toons are wearing their winter gear. "We're Tiny, We're toony, we're all a little Loony! And very, very soon-y, Christmas will be here!" Lauren yanked a cord as a fruitcake flew over Buster's head and Babs blew up a glitter bomb. "We're comic dispensers, we crack up all the Censors. It's Tiny Toon Adventures Christmas Chapter, Yuletide cheer!!" The scene pans over ACME Acres all covered in snow. "So here's ACME Acres, it's a wonderland of snow! Sleigh bells ring, toons we sing beneath the mistletoe!" Lauren and Hamton go riding on Rosebud's sled together through the snow as they continued to sing. "Our writer, she's gifted. The story has been lifted! On Tiny Toon Adventures, let's start the show." Then they began roll call.

"They're furry, they're funny! They're Babs and Buster Bunny! Montana Max has money, Elmyra is a pain!" It cuts back to the Valentines Dance when Elmyra gave Lauren the biggest hug when she gave her a valentine. "Here's Hamton, and Plucky. Dizzy Devil's yucky! Lauren is Insane-y, and Gogo's plain insane!" The scene goes over ACME Looniversity all covered in decorations for the holidays. "At ACME Looniversity, we trim the Christmas tree. Deck the halls, and guess what falls? An anvil, naturally! We're Tiny, we're toony, we're all a little loony! On Tiny Toon Adventures. Christmas Chapter show!" Then Lauren pops her head out of the rings and sang "To grandma's house we go!"

(In the scene.)

It was almost winter break and Christmas was coming up. The class was having a Christmas party to celebrate and everyone was having a good time. All except Lauren, who sat at her desk with her snacks she picked from the table. She couldn't help but think about her family, and the fun Christmas' they had together. She even knew how miserable Carrie was going to be this time of year as well. Fifi Le Fume was playing a game with Furball when she notices her just sitting there. She pauses the game with Furball and goes to Lauren. "Oh Mademoiselle Lauren, whatever iz ze matter? You're missing out on all ze fun." Fifi told her with her silk french accent. Lauren sighs and turned to her.

"I appreciate your concern Fifi, I really do. It's just that I miss my family. My dad, aunt and uncle. Our Christmas' were so fun.." She rested her hand on her cheek as she ate a cupcake. "Things aren't really the same without them at all.." Lauren's head looked up at the ceiling as she tried her best not to even cry. It just hurt for her friends to see her this upset. Fifi gave her a soft hug. "It's okay. I know it feelz to miss sombody zat much. I'll give you some time." She walked away back to the group. Babs saw the interaction and knew that something had to be done, and done in a timely manner. "Guys. Special meeting on the playgrounds after school."

(After school.)

"Alright you guys, we need to show Lauren the best Christmas that she could ever ask for. We need to think of something fast!" Babs slammed her hands down on the picnic table. Hamton raised his hand and suggested. "Maybe we can all go over to her house and surprise her and her mother with all the games that her family loved doing." Buster began to write down the ideas on a piece of paper. "Alright, alright, what else do we have?" After a couple of minutes of suggestions, Babs made a final decision. "Alright, surprise Christmas party it is!" Bugs showed up and told them "We'll help too." All of the teachers were in too. Porky, Daffy, Elmer, everybody. Buster smiled and raised his hands into the air. "Alright! Let us get to work!"

((Christmas Morning))

Lauren woke up and stretches and walked downstairs to the smell of breakfast. Carrie was there and greeted Lauren with some blueberry waffles and strawberries with whipped cream for toppings. "Merry Christmas Lauren." she whispers as Lauren sat at the table, eating the waffles. "Thanks mom.." Her voice mumbled as Lauren ate the waffles quietly. Carrie then heard a knock at the door and she goes to answer it. Opening it up, Carrie looked down to see Hamton on the steps. "Oh hey there Hamton, is there something you need?" Hamton nodded. "Yes, and merry Christmas, Mrs. Warner-Nelson. I was wondering if you and Lauren would come to the school for something? Mr. Bunny sent me." Lauren continued to eat and when she heard that, she scrambled for the last bite and got ready, giving him heart eyes. "Don't have to ask us twice, Hammy." The two were in their winter get ups and followed Hamton back to Looniversity.

Lauren covered her eyes the entire way as he had instructed while walking. It was a surprise. After a few minutes of walking, they arrive inside and to the gymnasium. "Alright. Y-you can open your eyes now Lauren." Lauren opened her eyes and looked around. "Why is it all dark?" Then the lights turned on and everyone came out, yelling "Surprise! Merry Christmas Lauren!" Lauren immediately lit up, feeling happier as she ran over. "This is all for me?" Babs nodded. "Mmhmm. The teachers were in on the idea too. It was mostly Hamton's idea." Carrie grinned as Lauren gave Hamton a hug, Buster hanging mistletoe over them. She looked up and gave a first kiss for the both of them. The crew ended up partying good. It really was the best Christmas ever.
