Chapter Forty

9/9 Friday Morning

Awakening...

Velvet room...

Phantom Thieves...

Wildcard...

It's morning. I can feel the sun hitting me and blinding my eyes. The only thing that I could think about was yesterday's events. My parents...No. Those people who pretended to be my parents have finally left my life altogether. Now it's just me. Even though I'm not old enough to live by myself , I have Helena to be my official legal guardian. Knowing her, she might have done the papers already while I was knock out. Speaking of which, what is this heavy feeling on my chest?

Eliza opens her eyes slowly to be face to face with Morgana who was just watching her.

"Lady Eli. I'm glad you are awake. How are you feeling?"

"Oh. Morgana. I'm fine now that I've had a good rest. What about you? I hope you are okay as well."

"I'm fine. Akira has been messaging you since six in the morning. It is now ten."

"Well, I better reply back to him. Everyone else is probably worried too. Any chance you have seen Helena?"

"Yeah, I overheard that she was going down to the uhhh... stadium?"

"Oh so she went there? That's fine then. Time to message Akira. Or maybe I should call him?"

"Hey Eli, where do you keep the snacks? I'm hungry."

"Oh you mean the dry sushi food mix? Should be on the counter next to the fridge."

As soon as he heard the location, Morgana ran towards the kitchen and Eliza not being surprise by the action, made her phone call. She waited and waited and then a voice was heard on the other side.

"Hello? Eliza?"

"Akira. I'm glad you picked up."

"I'm glad you are up. Last time I call Helena, she said you went back to sleep."

"Yeah I did. Morgana informed me of the many texts you left and so I decided a phone call should suffice than a text."

"Well, I'm honored."

"Stop it."

"Hahaha. I'm only joking. How are you feeling though? Everything in perfect condition?"

"Well, seems like the injuries and pain that came along with it are no longer there. I feel fine. I only feel a bit fatigued from the awakening of my persona. I still can't believe it happened."

"You say that but your awakening was a big surprise. I never thought Personas could be any taller or cooler."

"So you say. But your persona has wings and looks quite the gentleman. Almost like the person I'm talking to."

"Why I'm flattered Miss Magician."

"Just because my persona wields a staff doesn't mean I know magic in reality."

"Yeah, yeah. So, how's your vacation going?"

"Vacation? Well I guess you can call it that. Its been fine. Morgana told me that Helena asked for a day off today and rescheduled the second day of the concert for tomorrow. So for today and the day after tomorrow, I can spend some time exploring LA with Morgana and Helena!"

"Sounds like fun. I hope you enjoy your free days. By the way, is Morgana behaving well?"

"Why yes! He's been cheering me on while I perform. He's the best friend anyone can have."
