Chapter Twenty-Seven

"Now that we are back into the palace, what should we do about that door?" Skull asks

"We may have to look for another entrance. It doesn't seem like this door will budge," Joker said

"Then let's go outside and look for anything that may grant us access to the pyramid."

As they got back to the other side, they were about to open the doors to the entrance, the Shadow Futaba stopped them.

"Are you leaving? Come back and let's talk."

Once the group comes close to the Shadow, she starts talking to them.

"Welcome back. I had thought I would never see you again."

"We're only here because we gotta be! I can't believed you tried to kill us! You want us to steal your treasure or not!?"

"Hm, why don't we make a deal? You wish to proceed further, yes?"

"A deal?"

"There is a town nearby. I would like you to take back that which the bandit there stole from me."

"Oh yeah, I think I remember seeing a town on the way here," Panther said and the shadow continues.

"If you bring what was stolen back to me, I will give you a reward. I'll even tell you how to proceed."

"Can't you tell us any more details? Anything about this bandit or what was stolen?" Queen asked the shadow but she wasn't going to give it to them so easily.

"You'll learn all the information you need to know once you arrive."

"We'll need to head outside if we want to go to town. We can go when you are ready, Joker."

"Let's go there now."

"So, how're we supposed to get to this town?"

"Well, if the town is nearby then we could probably have Mona take us there."

"Nice thinking Lady Ace."

"Uhh, it sounds weird when you say it with the lady next to it."

The gang reach the town and first defeat the shadows that were hanging around there until finding a huge square in the town but didn't see the bandit until it appeared from behind them.

"Hey, looking for something?"

The thieves turned around and the bandit was right there wielding its sword towards the group.

"I knew I heard people rustlin' around here and here y'all are. Welcome to the desert fellow traders."

"We're here for the item you stole from the Pharaoh."

"Ha! Well ain't this interestin'. A group of criminals comin' after a fellow criminal. Well, you're gonna have to catch me to get it!"

The bandit runs away and the thieves were about to follow but were stopped by Ace.

"Wait, you guys!"

"What's wrong, Ace?"

"We need to lure the guy here in this large space if we want him to give us the goods. We should split up, that way we can ensure his run brings him here."

"Good idea! Let's do it!"

Joker, Panther, and Skull went one way while Fox, Queen, and Mona went another way with Ace blocking the last path to him getting out of town. He then made his way towards the huge space in the town and then the thieves regroup and surrounded him.

"Give it up! We got you surrounded!" Joker said and the bandit wasn't going down without a fight.

"Don't give me that shit! I mean you guys came to raid that tomb too, right? Why don't we work together and share the plunder?"
