Chapter Four

4/27 Wednesday, Afterschool

Couple days have gone and Akira and Ryuji had started talking to Ann and hanging out with her after school. Ryuji tried talking to Eliza in class but she would just stay silent. Akira tried messaging her but got no response. Both decided she probably needed some time to herself and let her come to them. A calling card was posted in the school for Kamoshida and everyone was talking about it. She was interested to know who could've done it but was not in the mood to figure it out. She just wanted to be alone for now and try to get herself together. As she was walking, she saw those three and the cat in the shortcut route way to school.

"What are you all doing there?" she questioned them and all were surprised to see her.

"Eliza! Nice to hear your voice again!" smiled Ryuji while Eli was curious about their doing.

"Right...I asked you a question," she stated.

"We're just hanging out is all," said Ann trying to smile.

"Really? In that small alleyway?" she questioned one more time trying to get a good response.

"Just discussing daily life."

Both Ann and Ryuji looked at Akira as he said that and she shook her head.

"Fine then...See you later."

As she left, she felt her head hurt and couldn't properly think.

"These headaches will be the death of me. Better than the other alternative."

4/28 Thursday, Lunchtime

A couple of days passed and it was now the 28th of April. Both boys and Eliza got together at lunchtime.

"So, do you think Kamoshida changed his mind?"

"I think so."

"I wish I was that positive like you are Akira." commented Eli and Ms.Kawakami came by them.

"Perfect timing. Study hall will be held instead of PE today. I'm letting you know, just in case you haven't heard."

"Kamoshida isn't present?" asked Eli

"Don't let anyone know I told you this but Mr. Kamoshida is placing himself under suspension. And just before the tournament...Principal Kobayakawa went to talk to him, but he wasn't making any sense."

"A suspension!?" Ryuji almost yelled and Eli put her hand on his mouth.

"Not so loud! The talks about your expulsions may be put on hold too. I don't know much about it though." She left and all three looked at each other.

"Seems like we're off the hook. We can continue as we were." Eliza took her hand away from Ryuji's mouth and was thinking.

"Seems like something changed. At least it's different from a mental shutdown." Ryuji calmly put his arms behind him.

"Why are you bringing that up?" She turned to look at him.

Akira face-palmed and Ryuji tried to correct himself.

"W-well I heard the Phantom Thieves of heart changed Kamoshida." he stuttered out.

"I've been meaning to ask you guys about that but haven't had the chance. So, who do you think they are? Or have they always been here and I'm just hearing it for the first time?" She looks at Ryuji since Akira was also new to the school she didn't bother to aim her question at him.

"N-nah! They have just been formed. It was a major shock to us when that calling card was on the school board. You think they are the real deal?" He tried asking her without sounding suspicious.
