"You'll be safer here." said a young woman.

In her arms, she clutched a small, dark-skinned child wrapped up in a light blue blanket. The woman kept her eyes on the dark road as she drove up a small hill. Parking the car, she stepped out of the vehicle and walked up to a small manor, holding her baby close to her chest. The woman walked up to the door and knocked twice. She didn't have to wait long when the door slowly opened, and a middle-aged woman could be seen.

"Calista? What's the matter?" the woman asked.

"Mother, I need your help..." Calista said softly, "I couldn't go to anyone else."

The woman looked down at her daughter's arms, and her eyes widened.

"I can't raise her. If I do, she'll turn out like me, and I don't want that," Calista said, "Can you please raise her in my stead?"

The woman sighed and gave her daughter a disappointed look.

"If you stop what you're doing right now, she won't have to turn out like you." the woman said sternly.

"I'm doing this for her! A world where everyone will listen to her! Imagine it..." Calista cried, "Please... If not for me, do it for her."

The woman groaned and took her sleeping granddaughter from Calista's arms.

"What's her name?" she asked.

"Eragona." Calista answered.

The woman nodded and held her grandchild close. Calista caressed her daughter's cheek and placed a loving kiss on her forehead.

"I love you, my sweet girl..." Calista said.

She gave her mother a knowing look before leaving her daughter behind. Getting in the car, she pulled away from the manor and disappeared into the night. The woman looked down at her sleeping grandchild with a sigh.

"Don't worry, Eragona. Grandma Elise will take care of you," she said, "No matter what..."

Elise took her granddaughter inside and closed the door behind her. Walking into the living room, illuminated by a roaring fire in the fireplace, happy cries could be heard. From the opposite side of the large room, an Altaria and Goodra appeared to greet their trainer. They stopped when they saw little Eragona in her arms.

"Goodra, Altaria, this is Eragona," Elise told her Pokémon, "My granddaughter..."

The Dragon-type Pokémon looked down at the sleeping baby and cried happily. Their cries made little Eragona's eyes flutter open, her dark denim blue eyes scanning her surroundings.

"Hello, my dear." Elise said.

The small child tilted her head slightly and stared into her grandmother's eyes. Elise smiled and placed a kiss on her nose. Little Eragona smiled and let out an adorable giggle. The Altaria and Goodra smiled and let out happy cries.

"You two be good to her, understand?" Elise asked sternly.

The two Dragon-type Pokémon nodded with firm cries. Elise grinned and looked back down at her smiling granddaughter.

"You're going to be just fine..." Elise said sweetly.
