An Elite Meet and Greet

After spending the night in Shiverberg's Inn, we decided to hop on the next train to Gladiolus City.

Today is the day where we meet the Elite Four! Not only am I excited to meet the rest of the Elite Four, but I can't wait to see Grandma Eli after all this time.

After purchasing the tickets, the four of us waited at the train station for the train to arrive.

"At least it's warm in here." Nina said.

"Yeah, I agree," Kat said, "I don't think I've ever been on a train before."

"You'll love it, Kat," Eric said, "Back in Unova, there's a train station, but if you're lucky, you might run into the Subway Bosses: Ingo and Emmet. They're Unova's best Tag Battlers."

"That sounds fun! I can't wait to travel to Unova and hopefully meet and battle them!" I said excitedly.

Libby let out happy cries as she bounced on my shoulder.

So many places and people, all willing to battle to help younger trainers grow stronger. Now those are the kind of people that I'd like to meet!

When I looked up, a bronze, silver, and gold train pulled into the station. When the doors opened, the others and I got up and walked inside. The seats matched the train's colors with a hint of red and blue.

"Next stop: Gladiolus City." said a metallic female voice.

When the doors closed, the train pulled away from the station. I looked out the window and watched as snow continued to fall. Libby hopped up on the space in front of the window and let out a cry as she pointed at something. I turned to what Libby was pointing at and saw a majestic white and brown Pokémon on top of a hill. Taking out my Pokédex, I scanned the beautiful-looking Pokémon.

"Sawsbuck, the Season Pokémon. The plants growing on its horns change according to the season. The leaders of the herd possess magnificent horns."

It's beautiful.

"You know, Sawsbuck are native to Unova," Eric said, "I see them every year, and it's amazing to watch them change to the corresponding season."

"I can only imagine," I said, "I can't wait to visit Unova and all of the other regions of the world!"

Eric smiled and turned to watch the scenery fly by. When we went through a tunnel, the season immediately changed. It went from winter to summer in no time at all.

"Now arriving at Gladiolus Station." said the metallic voice.

When the train stopped, the doors opened, and people started pouring out. Walking out with my friends, I breathed in the crisp air and sighed heavily.

"Good to be back!" I said.

"Yeah," Kat said, "Era, do you know where the meet and greet is taking place?"

Humming, I pulled out my phone and checked the events catalog for Gladiolus City.

"Yeah, it's in the grand hall by the Battle Tendency Stadium," I said, "It looks like, after the meet and greet, the Elite Four will have a battle royal in the stadium next door."

"Well, let's get going before it gets too crowded." Eric said.

Nodding to our friend, we walked off the platform and headed to the city.

I can't wait to see Grandma Eli after all this time!

Once in the city, I led my friends to the grand hall. Pushing past the massive crowd, we eventually made it to the building. Balloons in two shades of purple, gray, and black were everywhere when we entered the hall.
