"Oh, Eragona, he's perfect for you!" Grandma Eli said, "What did you call him?"

After Kat and I got back from the Dragonet Den, we decided to head to the nearest destination, Suncam City. Right now, the two of us are at the Pokémon Center about to train up Jet.

"His name's Jet," I answered, "Believe it or not, Tyrantrum let me choose which little Dragon-type Pokémon to take."

Grandma Eli's eyes widened.

"Really?" she asked.

"Truly, Ms. Elise," Kat replied, "Your granddaughter is something else."

I smiled fondly at my friend's kind words. My grandmother chuckled and nodded in agreement.

"That she is," she answered, "I can't wait to see what Jet evolves into."

"Do you know?" I asked.

Grandma Eli nodded with a bold smirk.

"I'm not gonna tell you, of course," she said, "I want it to be a surprise."

Fair enough...

Saying goodbye to my grandmother, I ended the call and looked back at Jet, Libby, and Angel. The three Pokémon ran around each other with happy smiles on their faces. I grinned and walked over to the jubilant Pokémon. I took out my Pokédex and scanned Jet to see what moves he knows.

Dragon Rage, Dig, Dragon Breath, and Metal Claw. Pretty decent move set.

"Okay, Jet. Time to train," I said, standing back up, "You ready?"

Jet looked up and let out a firm cry. I turned to Kat and nodded. My friend smiled and pulled out a Pokéball.

"Goodra, come on out!" Kat said, tossing up the ball.

At her command, Goodra appeared with a friendly cry. Jet walked up to the tall Dragon-type Pokémon and let out a friendly cry.  Kat's Goodra smiled and mimicked Jet's cry.

"Listen up, Jet," I began, "Goodra was kind enough to train with us, so I want you to give it your best shot, okay?"

Jet balled his small hand into a fist and let out a firm cry. Libby and Angel moved away from us and sat on the side of the field. Kat and I took our positions and grinned at one another.

"Your move, Era." she said.

"Alright. Jet, use Dragon Rage!" I cried.

Jet opened his mouth and let out a shock wave of pure rage.

"Negate it with Dragon Pulse!" Kat ordered.

Goodra released a multi-colored shock wave that made the Dragon Rage disappear.

"Dig!" I cried.

Jet let out a firm cry and dug into the battlefield.

"Good luck finding Jet, Kat!" I said.

"We don't need luck," Kat said, "Goodra, use Flamethrower into the hole!"

Obeying his trainer, Goodra released a ribbon of fire into the hole. I couldn't help but chuckle at Kat's move.

"What's so funny?" Kat asked.

"Have you ever considered what Jet's other typing is?" I asked boldly.

Kat looked at me with shock and bewilderment. Then, Jet hopped up from the ground right in front of Goodra.

"How? There's not even a scratch on him!" Kat exclaimed.
