"Come on, y'all! Get up!" Georgia cried excitedly, "Don't wanna be late!"
I stirred in my sleep as the young cowgirl shook me awake.
Talk about a rude awakening.
"What are you talking about?" Eric yawned.
"The Pallet Town Color Carnival is today, remember? Georgia questioned.
What Georgia said made my eyes open completely.
I almost forgot about that!
I quickly hopped out of bed with a broad smile on my face.
"Get up, you guys!" I called out, "The Color Carnival's today, remember?"
The others stirred in their sleep.
"5 more minutes..." Eric yawned.
Georgia and I glanced at one another with knowing looks. Libby opened her little brown eye before trotting over to me with a yawn. I smiled before picking her up and cradling her. I sighed before turning to Georgia.
"I got this," Georgia said, stepping out of the room, "Jessie, can I borrow Luxray for a minute?"
After a few seconds, the Gleam Eyes Pokémon walked in and purred as it nuzzled up against Georgia.
"Ya might wanna stand back, blue hair." Georgia said.
Listening to the cowgirl, I stepped back behind her and the lion-like Pokémon.
"Alright, Luxray, use Thunderbolt!" Georgia cried.
The Luxray roared as it released a powerful electrical blast on the others. My friends jolted awake as they let out surprised cries. I covered my mouth to stifle a laugh.
This shouldn't be funny, but it is.
When Georgia patted the Luxray, the Gleam Eyes Pokémon stopped its attack. I couldn't help but laugh at the others' current state.
"What was that for?" Nina questioned.
"Y'all wouldn't wake up," Georgia deadpanned, "Drastic times call for drastic measures. Thanks, buddy."
The Luxray let out a small roar before leaving the guest room. The others groaned as they dusted themselves off.
"Not cool." Eric groaned.
Libby laughed as Angel's fur was sticking out and puffy. The Sylveon mewled out a tired cry before shaking out her fur.
"Couldn't you have woken us up less... rudely?" Caps asked.
"Well, y'all weren't waking up from my hollerin', so shockin' y'all was the next best thing," Georgia said, "Now, 'c'mon! The Color Carnival is startin' soon!"
I chuckled as I followed the young girl out of the room.
Besides what Georgia's cousins told us, I wonder what this Color Carnival has in store.
After getting dressed and washing up, the others and I met Georgia, her cousins, and her uncle outside. When I looked ahead, my eyes widened at the different colored balloons ahead.
"Let's get going, y'all!" Marley said.
Nodding to the older man, we followed his lead down to the rest of the town. The picket fences along the dirt roads were lined with balloons of every hue of the rainbow.
"It's so beautiful here!" Nina exclaimed, "Look at all of the colors!"
Libby mewled out a cry as she bumped a balloon with her nose. Then, the static from the balloon started making her fur stick out. I couldn't help but laugh at my partner's fur.
