Nag-angat ng tingin si Ryo nang makita ang pagliligpit ko sa mga kagamitan ko.
"Lunch time na ba?" He glanced at his watch.
"Parating na kasi sundo ko..."
He pouted. "Let's meet again?"
Sandali akong natigilan. I haven't spent too long with boys other than the four Sandrejas.
Ito rin ang unang beses na hindi ako nairita sa lalakeng kumakausap sa'kin.
Again, boys on my dm keep on saying how intimidated they are whenever they talk to me. Hindi ko naman sila masisisi dahil sa singkit na mata ko palang at emotionless ko raw na mukha ay nasisindak na sila.
But I like guys who aren't intimidated by me. Gusto ko, kapag kausap ko siya ay pareho kaming kumportable sa isa't-isa.
And this might be too fast but I feel comfortable around Ryo. Parehong pakiramdam kapag sila Riox ang kasama ko.
Vengiel is an exemption, though.
It always feels like I'm comfortable with him, but not really...
I know that I'm safe being on his side all the time. I'm comfortable that he won't do things that might harm me. I'm comfortable that he understands me more than anyone else and even more than my father. I'm comfortable that we like the same things and respects each other's opinion.
Pero sa sobrang pagka komportable ko sa kanya... pakiramdam ko hindi na rin komportable talaga.
I feel like any time... I'm going to sink in and no one could save me from it. Not even Vengiel. Because he's the definition of good, but bad. Safe but there's an underlying danger. Comfortable yet somehow uncomfortable.
"Maybe after the exam?" I genuinely smiled at him.
He bit his bottom lip to stop himself from smiling. "See you then,"
Bumaba ang tingin ko sa phone ko nang bigla itong nag-vibrate. It's a text from Vengiel, saying that he's already here.
Sinilip ko ang labas muli dito sa loob at nasilayan nga ang sasakyan nila sa parking lot. Nasa labas si kuya Earl na kumakaway pa talaga.
"Una na ako." I tilted my head a little.
He glanced outside before calling my name.
"Bianca..." Seryosong aniya. His forehead creased kaya pati ako ay napaseryoso.
"Huh?"
"Followback mo na ako ah."
Sandali akong natigilan bago nakuhang matawa. "Sira!"
Just like what he said, I followed him back. Marami pa siyang pahabol kaya hindi ko matanggal ang ngiti sa mga labi ko.
Sumabay pa siya sa'kin sa paglabas at inihatid pa talaga ako malapit sa sasakyan ni Venge.
Venge opened the door when Ryo turned his back on me.
Kakausapin ko na sana siya ngunit nanatili ang tingin niya kay Ryo na palayo na ngayon.
"Alis na po tayo, ma'am?"
I don't know why kuya Earl's asking me instead of Venge.
"Wala ka bang bibilhin sa cafe, Venge?"
Tinignan niya lang ako saglit bago napabuntong hininga. "None. Let's go."
Wala kaming naging imikan pagkapasok sa sasakyan. I silently texted kuya Bryan not to fetch me already and he just sent me a thumbs-up emoji.
