Amidst the academic pressure and busy class schedule, I longed for the gentle breeze and soft texture of sand kissing my feet. The enthralling sound of waves meeting the shore, and even the peace it brings... I've craved for it.
"Let's visit the beach after my surgery, hmm? 'Di ba favorite mo ang beach sa Ilocos kahit sobrang layo?"
Kahit hirap sa pagsasalita, she tried to break a smile to assure the young Bianca that she's doing fine.
"Promise?" I lifted my pinky finger in between my cries.
"I promise." She lifted her pink finger too just to meet mine.
I held on to her promise... but it didn't happen.
Ang daming pwedeng mawala sa mundo, bakit siya pa?
"I'm so excited to wear my bikini," Irene murmured, snapping me back to the present.
"Gosh, buti na lang I already deleted some photos sa gallery ko. Feeling ko kasi mapupuno ko na naman." Maarte niyang saad habang nagvivideo ng pang reels niya.
"I'm here to enjoy my vacation ha, not your personal photographer," I warned her.
She glared at me. Kinurot pa talaga ako sa braso!
"Arte mo. I'll take your picture rin naman in return!"
"I don't trust your photography skills," I smirked at her. Kinurot niya ulit ako!
"Bobo lang ako slight sa acads pero I know how to take Instagram-worthy photos 'no." She pouted like a wounded cat.
Umirap ako at pasimpleng nilingon kung nasaan ang upuan nila Venge. He's with Nero, one of my rivals in our class. Ang dami niyang pwedeng makatabi pero bakit yung lagi ko pang nakakadebate? And as far as I can remember, they're not friends.
I sighed. Nasa may left side kami sa likod ni Irene pumwesto at siya ngayon ang katabi ng bintana kaya madali ko lang nahanap si Venge.
Kumunot ang noo ko nang makita siyang sumilip. He beamed when he found my eyes. Itinuro niya ang phone niya, signaling me to check mine.
I opened it and saw his recent message.
Venge:
punta ako mamaya sa room niyo :p
Me:
may pinupormahan ka ba sa class natin?
Pasimple ko siyang nilingon. Kumunot ang noo niya at nagtipa ulit.
Venge:
I didn't even mention anything about other girls. paano napunta roon ang topic?
Me:
you said you're coming over(?) di ka naman pupunta kung wala kang hidden agenda or balak landiin
Venge:

Damn, even here in chat, I could hear him being flabbergasted.

Sinilip ko rin siya at nadatnan siyang nanlalaki ang mga matang nakatingin sa'kin. I stuck my tongue out to annoy him more. Pero imbis na mainis ay ngumisi lang ang gago.

Hindi na ako nagreply pa. Bahala siya diyan. Walang kwentang kausap.
"Hoy bakit ang pula mo na?" Irene poked my cheek which earned a glare from me.
Pinanliitan niya ako ng mata at humilig pa para masilip si Venge sa harap. And thank God his eyes are not on me anymore. Kausap niya na ngayon si Nero.
