[Warning: irresponsible drug use]
Bee's POV:
"Where did you get this jumpsuit? It's perfect!" The girl next to me who I now know to be Anna shouted to me as she ran her finger down my blazer sleeve. I got lucky having her as my neighbor in these seats that must have been pretty fucking expensive. She had great energy and I was way too excited to fangirl with her.
Anna was here with a group of several friends who were all on the other side of her in our row. They all looked like literal supermodels. They were the kind of pretty that makes it difficult to guess their age. She introduced me to them but I am terrible with names, plus it wasn't really easy to chit-chat in this arena. They had apparently purchased too many beers so she offered me one as soon as she took her seat when they arrived. She made a joke about how it was an apology in advance for how annoying they were all going to be this evening. To that I replied that no apology was needed, and that we should make it a goal to be obnoxious enough to get Harry's attention during the show. She loved the idea. I couldn't help but smirk into my beer when I heard her and her friends discussing the probability of him looking in our direction. This was going to be fun.
I smiled at her and leaned in closer to her ear. "I got it at a thrift store in Ballard! I've had it for awhile now and this is my first time wearing it." I took a sip of my second twelve-dollar beer. "Well, first time in public anyway," I corrected myself.
"Well it looks like it was made for you. Hot as hell," she winked and then went back to her subtle dancing and watching the stage.
The opening act had announced this was their final song and the energy in the space amplified. The opener was amazing and the crowd had been enthusiastic for the entire performance, but the tension in the room was crazy as more than 20,000 people anxiously awaited Harry Styles. I looked around and took in the crowd. Our seats were toward the left side, the first elevated row after the pit. Our view of the stage was completely clear.
The audience erupted in cheers as the band finished their last song, knowing what was coming next. The band left the stage and the stage lights turned off. Soft overhead lights came on as excited chatter picked up in the sudden silence.
Anna and her friends were full-on freaking out now. I loved sitting by them and being part of it.
Suddenly Anna turned to me, looking at me intensely with her big blue eyes and long dark lashes. She had a look of mischief. She tucked her silky straight brown hair behind her ear and put her small hands on my wrist. I couldn't help but grin at her without even knowing what she was up to. I raised my brows at her attentively, waiting for her to tell me why she needed my attention so suddenly.
"You can say no," she began, "but do you want some mushrooms?" She gestured to her friends. "We're all about to have some."
I huffed out a laugh then pursed my lips, looking between her eyes as I considered my options. "Can I take a look at it?" I was familiar with mushrooms, having done them several times over the last few years. I actually saw Trolls for the first time when I was on mushrooms. I think that's why I love the movie so much. Every time I watch it, I remember how fucking awesome it was to watch while high on mushrooms. I bet Harry would've liked the movie more if he had watched it on mushrooms. The colors were incredible and the dialogue was hilarious.
I was pleasantly surprised when Anna looked at me knowingly instead of being offended by my question. "Oh of course!" She reached into her bra and pulled out a ziploc bag. I looked around us briefly before inspecting the contents.
I smiled up at her. "Mind if I help myself?"
She shrugged and nodded. "Plenty to go around!"
I reached into the bag and pulled out two small mushroom caps and one small stem. I wouldn't trip from this amount, but it would definitely enhance colors and textures, maybe give me the giggles.
