A week has passed since we returned from the first Singularity and Artoria and I have started "courting", as she put it. We're still trying to figure things out, what each other's limits are so that we know not to cross them later on. I like to think we're doing quite well at the moment. Though, that doesn't matter right now as I swipe my access card over the scanner.
"Roman!" I shout, bursting into the doctor's office.
"GAH!" Roman screams, snapping his laptop shut as he falls out of his chair.
Sionnach snickers at the doctor from her spot on my shoulders, and I have to fight back a smirk.
As Roman cowers under his desk, I take a quick glance around the room. The office is across the hall from the infirmary, which makes sense since Roman was originally the head of the medical department. His office isn't that large, a 9' by 9' by 9' space, which is mostly taken up by Roman's desk against the back wall and the small couch against the left.
The good doctor peaks his head up over his desk and, upon seeing me, sighs and gets back into his chair, "Was that necessary, Vox?"
"Yes," I answer with a nod.
Roman rolls his eyes, "Did you need something, or did you just come to annoy me? If so, I must ask you to leave. I'm quite busy at the moment."
He gestures to the papers scattered across his desk, and I take notice of the bags under the doctor's eyes. Ever since Roman became the director, he's been having to deal with all the responsibilities that come with the position. I've tried to help, but I'm simply not cut out for all the paperwork.
"Is summoning a new Servant important enough, oh wise doctor?" I ask innocently, though my grin probably ruins any visage of innocence.
"Wha-of course that's important! The more Servants we have, the easier it will be to resolve the Singularities!" Roman exclaims, before noticing my grin, "Annnnd you're just messing with me..."
"Yep!" I reply, smiling toothily, "Now c'mon!"
As I walk out of the office, Roman scrambling to follow me, I glance around at the pristine white Chaldea halls. Despite it only having occurred a month ago, there are barely any remaining signs of Lev's attack. Hell, most of the departments are now up and running, which are quite interesting once you take a look at them.
The main departments are magitech, crafting, human resources, and overseer. Each department has multiple branches that cover more specific areas.
Magitech deals with research into both technology and magecraft, along with how to combine the two. It also covers the techs that manage and operate all of the systems such as the command room and the summoning chamber,
Crafting is more or less self-explanatory, and I'm very thankful that they have a clothing department and furniture department. It was funny getting Artoria to try on something not entirely formal, and I really like the fact that my Servants will now be able to design their rooms to an extent. Though, I wonder why the original director had the department created. Maybe they cared for their employees, or perhaps they just wanted to make sure that the Servants, when they eventually came, wouldn't get uncomfortable and destroy the facility in a tantrum.
The HR department deals with management and distribution of resources, medical, cooking, security, and making sure none of the magus take their experiments too far. The higher-ups for HR are probably the only ones outside of my Servants and a few other staff members that know I'm a Kitsune. Although, I could've done without Artoria asking them if they could acquire better security for my room.
Finally, the overseer department. Truthfully, it's not really a department and more like a council of all of the department heads and the director. I'm also on the council, but more of an adviser than anything.
