I decided to call Jay since it was 08:30. Don't judge me it is for my own good. "Jay boy! You can come I'm all done." I took my phone, money and went outside to wait.
I'm actually surprised he was on time. I hopped in the car, put on my seatbelt and we left. Benefits of having friends with cars- or at least their parents aren't too strict with their cars.
"So what's popping bro?" Jay implored.
"Just a little bit of shopping- you know me- nothing hectic." I added.
"You know I cannot get used to you going to the mall so early B!" Jay said.
"Man it's simple,I don't like people so I know when I arrive there, only a few will be shopping." I finished doing a happy dance.
I get so anxious around people so I try to avoid them most of the time. Which doesn't always work.
We got to the mall and went into a clothing store. I saw these combat boots the other day and I had to get them. After paying for them we bought burgers and sat at a park nearby.
Jay brought something up while we were eating "How are things going with your Ma? Have you talked to her yet?"
"I haven't Jay. I don't know where to begin honestly. I mean she knows I have to leave but not because I'm going to focus strictly on my art." I hissed as chewed on my burger."So you're still leaving. Have you called that lady?"
"Yeah I have, she told me I have to get documents from her before I can stay there. I'm guessing some kind of contract."
"Damn! So only three weeks huh?"
"Yes Jay boi. Three weeks until freedom."
Not the parties, clubs, alcohol and all that kind but the one that allows me to do me.
"So what are you plans?"
"Hectic bro I don't how I'm even going to manage. I'm going to be taking dance classes- I've already applied. There's this art studio or something around where I'll be staying and they agreed to put some of my paintings on display. They also allowed me to paint there and I'll actually be getting paid."
"Seems like you got everything figured out B. I'm happy for you. Can we leave now- I didn't take a bath man."
"Ew Jay why didn't you?" I laughed.
"Because of you and your antisocial behaviour. Hurry!"
"Okay but we're going to your house first. Gotta make sure you take that bath buddy."
The thing about me and Jay is we both have family problems. His parents are wealthy so they feed their children money instead of love. He has 5 siblings and he's the 3rd child. I've never met the older two, apparently they never come home. Jay told me that his father doesn't treat them right so immediately after his sisters finished school, they left. The other thing is his parents think we're dating. You can imagine how that feels like. Jay is very attractive but I've never looked at him in that manner.
"Get ready girlfriend, we're here." Snapped out of my thoughts. I realise we have arrived at his house.
We got out of the car and went inside. For a Saturday, the house was rather quiet. I asked Jay if I could use his bathroom. Immediately after he said yes I ran up the stairs.
