I did not know that looking at a suitcase can bring me loads of stress until now. I thought I would just take them out so I can clean them and prepare them for when I leave.

This week has been so stressful.

My brother walked into my room with a huge grin. It was very weird watching him do that. Our relationship is all serious talk and nothing else so I know he's about to ask me about serious matters. We never have silly moments as brother and sister. He acts more like my mom and dad's sidekick more than anything else.

"So you're leaving. I'm glad you're making this decision Bianca. Our future engine-"

"No! I'm just preparing my stuff, not leaving." I said slowing pointing at the suitcases around me.

"Do not interrupt me when I'm speaking Bianca. Now as I was saying, you are our future engineer. The golden child. Mom must be so happy. I'm glad you stopped thinking about that useless stuff you mentioned. Was it dance and painting? Whatever it was.

"Actually I have not. I'm still going to do what I sai-"

"Little Bianca. How about you focus on more important work like engineering and then maybe when you're done, you consider doing the other clutter. Sounds good?"

"Clement, that is not what I want to do. You don't care about me and what I want. I'm not doing this for you or mom."

"We are you family. I knew you were selfish since the day I met you. Fresh out of the tummy. If I find out that you are not doing engineering....you are coming back home sis. We know what is best for you because we raised you. Now finish up there or do you need help?"

"I don't need your hel-"

"Mooooom!!! Bianca is preparing in her room. She wants you to come and help her."  He turned around to face me and said "prepare your speech," and left.

He said that because he knows I was planning on telling my mom everything today. I got the devil as a brother. I am so annoyed at him damn. Now I have to deal with my mom.

The bedroom door closed and I took a deep breath in. I looked at the shoes in front of me and I immediately knew that this was the moment.

"Bianca. I heard you wanted me to help you with something."

"No mam. I can handle it."

"Alright then I am going back to the kitchen. You know your father comes home hungry on Friday's."

She made her way to the door. I didn't realize I had stopped her from leaving until I heard her say-

"What is it?"

"Uhm...I just uhh.... wanted to...you know. Let you know that...uhm I am going to be leaving in t-two weeks."  I think I forgot how to breathe.

"I know Bianca. We discussed this remember. Why are you having speech hesitations?"

"I'm not really going to be...uhh. I am not going to be furthering my studies like we had discussed."
