BONUS scene - The Proposal

Y/n and Tsukishima were currently in their final year of college, and it was just a few weeks away for their finals.

Tsukishima was busy with the college team's volleyball practice but had always returned home on time to spend time with his long time girlfriend, making sure to make time for her everyday, regardless of if they were busy.

Today marked the 6 years anniversary for the both of them since they started dating, and Y/n was out shopping for something that she could gift him for their sixth anniversary, while Tsukishima were still playing with the boys, although he requested to be dismissed early since he needed to plan for something special for the day as well.

Tsukishima was in a mall and coincidently, Y/n was in the same mall as well. He clicked his tongue as he tried to stay out of her sight, since he wanted his small little present to remain a surprise till the very last moment.

Y/n was seen exiting and entering different shop, but came out empty hand, finally exiting with a wrapped up box in a bag, and exiting the mall.

Tsukishima made sure to remain hidden till he was sure that she left the place so he can browse the stores safely.

He wandered from store to store, finding for a perfect ring that would match her, finally getting the one that was a cute, heart shaped diamond ring that he knew she'd like. He payed for the ring before exiting the mall as well to prepare for something else that he needed that evening.

In the evening, Y/n was sitting on the couch at home, going through her social media feed while she waited for him to come back from his practice, not knowing that he left early and had something planned for the both of them.

After around 40 minutes, he returned home and took off his shoes.

"I'm home." He told.

"Kei!!" She went over to hug him, and he hugged her back with a smile.

"Y/n, I will go freshen up. You need to dress up as well, we're going to the movies."

"What about the tickets?" She asked as he walked upstairs.

"I already booked them, don't worry." He told.

She excitedly went to their bedroom and started to get dressed and got her hair and was currently doing her make-up.

Tsukishima had already freshened up and was already dressed up as well, standing behind Y/n, to fix his hair as she was finishing up with her make-up.

They then went to the theatre and watched the movie, enjoying every moment of the time they were spending together.

After the movie was over, they walked out of the theatre with them both holding hand, and Tsukishima was holding the drink with his other hand, having the last few sips of the drink that was left.

"There's one more place left for you to go." He told as he continued walking with her.

"Where?" She looked at him and asked.

"You'll see." He sighed with a smile.

After walking for ten minutes, they reached a familiar park, and entered as Y/n saw the same bridge he brought her to on her birthday during their first year at high school.

She excitedly clasps her hands and jogged to the middle of the bridge as she looked around and then down at her reflection in the water.

"This is so nostalgic, Kei.." She muttered and smiled as Tsukishima continued to walk towards her till he stood beside her, resting his arms on the railing of the bridge.

"Then I assume you remember this as well." He smiled before looking at the sky, where the fireworks went off.

Y/n was mesmerized as she looked at the sky filled with fireworks, covering her mouth with her hands as she gasped in awe.

Tsukishima took this to be the perfect moment and stepped back to kneel on one knee, pulling out the box of ring that he bought earlier and opening up the box to reveal the beautiful diamond ring.

Y/n was still looking at the sky, not yet realizing the move he pulled until the fireworks were completely exhausted. Tsukishima now smiled at her when she turned to look at him, stepping back as she stares at him in surprise.

"I know I told you that I wanted to wait after graduating for us to get married, but I couldn't wait. And I also know that you've been wanting to bring this up for some time but didn't want to, thinking that you might pressurize me." He told, making her eyes water.

"So, I want to ask you right now," He looks at her while he still was on one knee, and Y/n gasped, knowing what was coming up.

"Will you make me the happiest man alive? and Marry me?" He asked, almost tearing up himself.

"Yes, Yes Yes I will!" She nodded while tearing up.

He smiled as he took her hand and stood up, putting the ring on her finger as he looked at her.

"I can't believe that I'll be spending the rest of my life with you sooner that I anticipated." He whispered to her while holding both of her hands in his, kissing her forehead while she let her tears fall.

"Now you're going to soon be Mrs. Tsukishima." He kissed her hand before hugging her.
