"Are you sure it's alright?" San asks to which Jiyeon chuckles in reply. "Of course it's fine" she assures, walking into the school cafeteria with San beside her. "Hey he's joining us today" she says gaining her friends attention. "Oh hey" Hana greets with a smile. "Hi" San greets back, mirroring her actions.
"San right?" Mark asks and San nods, taking his seat beside me. "I don't like him" Lucas mouths while San and Mark were talking. Kicking him from underneath the table, Jiteon earns a glare from Luacs. "Be nice" she mouth back and Hana laughs from beside her, making Jiyeon glance at her. "They were complaining about San talking to you out of all people on our whole way here" Hana whispers and she laughs.
"Why did you switch schools?" Hana asks San, while walking along the hallways on their way back to class. "Oh cause I had to move in with my friends and I thought of going to a school that is closer" he replies making Mark scoff. "Damn he has friends" he says under his breathe. "Mark!" Jiyeon exclaims and he sighs "sorry".
"For real though... I don't like him at all" Lucas says. To their luck Mark, Lucas and Jiyeon were walking slightly behind the other two so they weren't able to hear what the three friends were whispering about. "Right?! It's only his first day and he's already clinging onto Ji and Hana" Mark says, rolling his eyes at the boy in front of him.
"You two don't be rude" Jiyeon says, stern enough for the two boys on either side of her to go quiet. "He's new here... Just try being friends with him" she says. "NO" "NEVER" the two boys scream making San and Hana turn around to face them.
"Y-yeah alright" Jiyeon says, chuckling nervously. "Oh Ji I have something to tell you!" Hana says, dragging her away from the three boys. "Excuse us for a while" Hana says to San and he nods with a smile in reply. "what's wrong?" Jiyeon asks and her friend chuckles. "They'll have no choice but to talk to him now" Hana says, with a smirk on her face that creeped Jiyeon out.
"Talk to him!!" Mark says, nudging the taller boy. "Uh no... you talk to him" Lucas replies. "I'm older and more responsible" Mark mimics Lucas's usual words, making the boy glare at him. "Hey" San says, facing the two boys who were frozen in their spot. "why do you both look terrified?" he adds, chuckling.
"You might want to check your eyes" Lucas says, earning a punch from Mark. "You want Ji to kill us or something?" He whispers into Lucas's ear. "I thought you told me to talk to him" Lucas whispers back with a straight face. "I did not mean it like this!!" Mark replies with a sigh.
"How's school so far?" Mark asks, resting his arm on San's shoulder. "It's alright" San replies and Mark simply nods. "You both and Jiyeon seem really close" San says, making Lucas chuckle. "We're her bestfriend and Hana's too" Lucas says earning a nod of agreement from Mark.
"Ohh..." San says. "Why'd you ask that?" Mark asks. "Oh no reason" San replies with a shrug. Mark and Lucas make eye contact with each other for a second, a questioning expression plastered on both of their faces.
"Do you by any chance like her?" Lucas asks, making the two boys stop walking and face San. " I barely met her today. why would you think so?" San questions back, chuckling. "I don't know... you're own seatmate was another girl but you came behind Ji and also Hana anyway. Don't you think you got comfortable with them a little too fast?" Lucas asks to which San raises one of his eyebrows.
"Lucas stop it!" Mark says, holding the boy back from walking any closer to San. "I don't think this is how you would usually treat a new student at school but look, Jiyeon seemed friendly and nice and I don't see what's wrong in being friends with her" San says, rolling his eyes at the two boys and walking back towards his class. "I hate him already" Mark says. "I could've just beaten him up" Lucas replies. "let's just go back to class" Mark says, dragging the older boy towards their classroom.
