"Isn't there any way I could help you guys?" Jiyeon asks, watching the two boys that hurriedly put on their shoes. "Nope, just stay here safely" Mark says. "Yeah! And one of our friends would come here to stay over for the day. He's really nice so don't worry. Ask him to show you the NCT tattoo though just in case someone else tries coming" Lucas glances at Jiyeon.
"Wait so you both also have tattoos then?" She asks, tilting her head to a side. "Yep" Mark replies. Pulling the collar of his shirt to a side, Lucas shows the words NCT tattooed just below his collarbone, while Mark lifted up his sleeve, showing his. "Woah..." Jiyeon mumbles, earning a chuckle from the two.
"Why do you both have it in two different places?" She walks upto the two. "If an enemy sees one of us with a tattoo and tries using it to get to our allies we haven't met personally or anyone close to us either it wouldn't work 'cause all 23 of us have gotten the tattoos in different places so that they wouldn't be able to recognize it. It would just confuse them" Mark replies.
"We've memorized where everyone has their tattoos though" Lucas says, earning a nod from Mark. "Woah..." Jiyeon blinks a few times. "We'll get going now Ji" Mark hugs her tight. "Stay safe alright" Lucas does the same, earning a nod from Jiyeon. "Don't get hurt" she says, closing the door behind the two that nodded and waved at her.
Sighing, she turns around to walk upto her room when a knock on the door was heard, making her stop in her tracks. Opening it slowly, she peeps out to see a boy smiling at her while waving softly. "Hi Ji!!" He exclaims. "Oh you must be Lucas's and Mark's friend" she says, opening the door for the boy to enter. "Yep I am" he smiles, lifting up his wrist to show the words 'NCT'.
"What's your name?" She asks, leading him towards the living room. "Oh right it's Sungchan" he smiles. "Oh... Okay" Jiyeon replies, earning a chuckle from the boy. "Have you had breakfast yet?" She asks. Shaking his head, he plops himself down on the couch before glancing at Jiyeon. "Have you?" He asks, earning the same response from her.
"I was gonna make something, is that fine with you? Or if not I could order something" She says. "Whichever is easier for you" he smiles. "I'll make something then, don't complain that it tastes bad" she chuckles, making her way back towards the kitchen. "Oh stop it, those two never shut up about how good your cooking is" Sungchan says, standing up and following her in the same direction.
"It's probably 'cause they barely eat anything at home" she sighs. "Just as much as you miss their company, they do too. But with the whole Mafia thing going on we never know when we have to work" he pauses to look at Jiyeon that looked back at him while giving him all her attention.
"I barely joined them on their missions so I can't complain 'cause they've been working for years with training daily and it's exhausting" he lets out a sigh. "Specially for Mark and Lucas, they're stronger so they go out on more missions than the most of us" he says.
"Why do y'all even work so much?" She mumbles. "To not get killed" Sungchan shrugs. "We need to practice daily atleast to not be weak in front of our enemies" "but that's too much" she pulls out a glass from one of the cabinets. "It is, but to cover it all up we get enough time to rest and have all the fun we want"
"You don't really feel much of it 'cause we're all really close to each other and it's fun" he smiles. "Killing?" Jiyeon widens her eyes. "No!! Training" Sungchan laughs, making her sigh in relief.
"Here you go!" Jiyeon smiles, placing the plate of food in front of Sungchan. "Thank you!!" He exclaims "what do you usually do on Saturdays?" He asks once Jiyeon had sat down in front of him. "Hm... Maybe just sleep?" She squints her eyes while blankly looking at the wall, continuing to think.
"Seriously?! You're boring" Sungchan shakes his head. "What?! I'm just spending my day wisely" she playfully glares at him. "That's just you wasting time" he chuckles and rolls his eyes. "No it's not! Who doesn't want to sleep through a whole day" she shakes her head.
"You're just weird" she says earning a chuckle from the boy. "Anyways... Shall we go out?" He asks, making Jiyeon look away from her plate and towards the boy that glanced back at her with a smile. "Wouldn't it be dangerous for you?" She asks. "Not quite, no one knows I'm a member of NCT" he says. "As far as I know that is" he adds earning a nod from Jiyeon.
"How could you not hit a single one?" Sungchan stares at the ten pins in disbelief, before glancing back at Jiyeon. "The ball keeps sliding away when I do it!!" She whines. "You've been saying that for the past two rounds" Sungchan rolls his eyes. "Because it kept sliding off even then" she crossed her arms in front of her.
"You just suck at it" he chuckles, shaking his head. "No wait I got three down in the second round!" She glances up at the screen that showed their scores. "That's all?" Sungchan tilts his head to a side. "I haven't gone bowling in a while okay!" She mumbles.
"Excuses" Sungchan clicks his tongue, gripping onto the ball while taking a few fast steps forward and swinging the ball forward. "That's how you do it" he smirks, turning around to face Jiyeon after hitting a strike. "I don't spend half of my life in a bowling arcade to be that perfect" she blankly looks at him. "Thank you for the compliment!" He smiles.
"That looks heavy for you" Sungchan holds in his laugh, earning a glare from Jiyeon. "How do your friends survive with you?" She mumbles, rolling the ball along the floor before turning to face the boy. "you have no clue how bad I feel for them" she jokes. "I know right! They have to put up with my awesomeness" he replies.
Scoffing, she shakes her head before stepping to a side for Sungchan to play his turn. "Oh Sungchan..." She mumbls, to which the said boy hums in response. "Who's Taeyong? I'm not sure if I said his name right, but that's what I remember" she mumbles, making him turn around to face her.
"Yeah you said it right. And well he's our leader" Sungchan replies, speaking quieter. "You know him?" He asks. "I think he's the one that was there when I almost got killed" Jiyeon chuckles softly. "Oh so you've met him then" he says, earning a nod from Jiyeon.
"Is he nice? You know as a leader..." She glances at Sungchan. "Outside of work yes, he's one of kindest people to exist. But then when we are working... I swear, he's no better than the devil" Sungchan purses his lips together, earning a soft chuckle from Jiyeon.
"Bye Sungchan!!" Jiyeon waves at the boy that did the same. "Bye!!" He smiles. Closing the door behind her, she walks upto her kitchen before grabbing a glass and filling it up with water. Sighing, she blankly looks around the kitchen after gulping down the water when her eyes land on the piece of paper on the counter.
Tilting her head slightly, she keeps the glass on the table before walking towards the counter. Opening the piece of paper that was folded she reads through the letters that were printed. 'I really miss you... I can't wait to meet you!!'. "Did Sungchan leave this here?" She mumbles. Shrugging, she keeps the paper back in its place before walking upto her room.
