"Sunoo!"
"Hello y/n! Ready to ace the math test?"
"Stop it."
"What?"
"Stop being delusional." You rolled your eyes. There was no way you could get an A... a B at most... but a perfect score would merely be a figment of your imagination.
"With math genius Sunoo by your side, you shall succeed. I guarantee it."
"Do I get a refund if I don't score high?"
"It's not like you pay me."
Sunoo sighed, patting the seat next to him. "Sit, sit."
You opened your textbook, cursing the jumble of formulas and numbers in your head. Math resented you, and you resented it back.
Leaning closer, the gentle scent of Sunoo's detergent washed over you. It smelled like mint. You sniffed loudly.
"What are you doing?" Sunoo asked bemused.
"You smell minty fresh." You flashed him a smile and gave him a thumbs up.
Cute, Sunoo thought.
He suddenly leaned his head on your shoulder. "My head smells like candy."
Cautiously, you sniffed.
"Give me your shampoo."
"What?"
"Seriously, give it to me right now."
"Why?"
"It smells too good."
"No! Buy your own."
You jumped out of the seat, shoulder blade banging on Sunoo's jaw. He winced. Shrugging off the numbness in your shoulders, you dashed to his restroom and walked into his shower, the glass still foggy from his morning shower. There it was. The glorious, fruity tutti-scented shampoo in the baby blue bottle. You snatched it.
Sunoo pattered over, appearing in the doorway with his arms crossed.
"Hey. Stop it."
"Mine," You said, hugging it to your chest.
"No mine!"
Trying to grab it from your hands, you veered away from Sunoo. The back of your fluffy bunny slippers tripped over the flipped carpet, causing you to lose your balance. It felt as if your fall was in slow motion. Sunoo's eyes widened and he lurched forward, his hand holding the back of your skull as you fell back. Your back hit the floor and you felt air rush through your lungs, leaving you winded. He landed, both knees to the side of your legs and one arm supporting his plank-like position, and another behind your head.
"Why are you so clumsy?"
"S-sunoo?"
"Seriously. You're going to kill yourself when I'm not around."
"Sunoo! Y-you're-" You stammered, covering your face with your hand to hide your blushed cheeks.
You guys were in an awkward position. Sunoo's mouth rounded into a surprised "o". Your eyes trailed down to his plump lips and you felt the gap between you guys start to close. What were you doing? Pushing the shampoo bottle at his chest, you nudged him away.
"Ah! Sorry."
Sunoo seemed flustered... and you felt the same. Your heartbeat had quickened to a racing pace as if you'd run a marathon across the whole world. Stop. Stop. Stop. You nearly cried from frustration. This unknown feeling was crushing your heart. It was wrong.
"I'm sorry. I have to go." You dashed away, shampoo bottle still in one hand.
The front door of Sunoo's house closed with a slam. Behind the closed doors, Sunoo buried his face into his hands, slumped against the wall of the restroom.
