Valia's POV
Both of Cullens had been suggesting during this previous week that we should spend an afternoon with their families. Finally Bella and I caved in to our boyfriends whishes and decided to meet the lovely family. We didn't particullarly engaged in physical activies specially with beings that run faster that any human could ever so it would be a fun evening of sitting in a bench for the Swan sisters.
The main down side however was having to tell Charlie.
"Hey, got you another one" said Bella and put down the third beer in the last 15 minutes.
"Thanks" he said. He knew something was up with us for sure.
"I have a date with Edward Cullen" she blurted out.
"He's a little old for you, isn't he?" said Charlie.
"We're all juniors, Charlie. Also I'm going out with Jasper Hale as well" I said.
"I thought you liked the Cullens" said Bella trying to add a point to the cause.
"I thought neither of you liked any of the boys in town" said Charlie.
"Well, technically they don't live in town" Bella said.
"Well, they're right outside" I said.
"They are?" asked Charlie and looked at me and I nodded. "All right. Bring them in" said Charlie and loaded his gun.
"Could you be nice?" asked Bella. "He's... he's important" Charlie drew a circle over his head like an angel and left the rifle on top of the table but within his range. Bella and I went inside and opened the door to the waiting brothers, making them enter. Edward had a facade of confidence while Jasper was more visibly nervous so I took his left hand in mine. His face relaxed a bit a stroked the back of his palm.
"Chief Swan" said Edward. "I want to formally introduce myself. I'm Edward Cullen" Charlie looked at Jasper and I squeezed his hand a bit in reassurance.
"I'm Jasper Hale" he said and he entended his other hand to give Charlie a handshake.
"Hi boys" said Charlie.
"Valia and Bella won't be out too late tonight" said Edward. "They're just gonna play baseball with our family"
"Baseball?" asked Charlie unbelievably.
"Yes, sir. That's the plan" said Edward. Charlie chuckled.
"Bella's gonna play baseball? Well, good luck with that" he said.
"We'll take good care of them" said Jasper and we headed out into the cars. We arrived a in a field where everyone else form the family was already congregated.
"So, why does there have to be a storm for you guys to play baseball?" I asked him.
"You'll see soon enough" he teased.
"If you don't hit it I will make fun of you for the rest of your inmortal life" I said and he smirked.
"I never miss love" he said.
"It's good that you two girls are here. We need an umpire" said Esme.
"She thinks we cheat" said Emmett.
"I know you cheat" said Esme. "Call them as you see them, girls"
"We'll do our best" Bella said. Soon lightning stroke and Alice smiled.
"It's time" she said. Alice was the pitcher and she threw so fast that I could hardly see the ball.
"Okay, now I see why you need the thunder" said Bella. Rosalie hit the ball and it went really really far. While Rosalie was running, Jasper was showing off his skills with his bat.
