"Thank you," He said, putting the pack of ice on his foot.

"Mhm."

"Y/n." He called softly and you turned to see him.

"Yeah?"

"Talk to me, please."

"I am talking." You replied sarcastically and he laughed lightly. "I don't know what else to say, dad."

"I do." Iwaizumi interrupted, opening the door. Oikawa trailed behind him seeing as it was his apartment too. "Why the hell are you here again?"

"So defensive when he's not even your dad." You scoffed while leaning against the doorway with crossed arms.

"That's not his dad?" Oikawa whispered, joining you.

"No, that's my annoying dad. Hajime's dad remarried and lives in Hawaii."

Oikawa hummed and turned back to the conversation.

"Why are you here?" Iwaizumi repeated.

"I wanted to see how you were doing. Is that so bad?"

"Why?" You asked, coming out of the dark and sitting on the couch. He sighed and took the ice off of his wound.

"I didn't see either of you at your mother's service—"

"So you went?" Your voice interrupted and he nodded. You could see him gulp in fear. "Huh."

May I just add, Oikawa had absolutely no idea what was going on in front of him.

"I was worried about you both."

That earned a scoff from the siblings.

"Iwaizumi-san," Oikawa piped up and the three of them turned to him with the call of their name.

Ignoring them, the setter continued.

"I may be stepping way out of line here but I've known Hajime for a long time and he's one of my closest friends. I trust him with my life. So, if he is this upset there has to be a reason."

"Since when did you become a poet?" Iwaizumi snickered and Oikawa smiled in his direction.

"Despite our differences, I care about you!"

"Get a room." Y/n faked a gag and the elder glared at them.

"This is our apartment." He deadpanned by the younger rolled their eyes and turned back to their injured father.

"You get 10 seconds before I kick you out. Starting now."

"Ok, ok! I came back because I felt guilty!"

Another scoff.

"I did! I do!"

"You're repeating yourself and you only have... 5 seconds left," Hajime warned with a slightly mocking tone and worry crossed the father's eyes.

They were both enjoying this wayyyy too much.

Sadists... Oikawa sweatdropped as he looked between the two.

"I didn't know what do to when I was told y/n left. I'm scared of being alone and it's pathetic! But I need you, both of you! I think of you as my own, Hajime! And I regret everything I did!"

"10 seconds is up."

"Now, leave."
