White lies

Chapter 1

Y/n had been at the little palace for about six months now. She was a Grisha, though she had never lived at the little palace before arriving to Ravaka from ketterdam with the crows. Crows, well...they'd originally came for Alina starkov "the million Kruge pacakage" and kaz's masterplan and his team of 4–y/n, Inej and Jesper. They didn't quite succeed the plan but the general did take down the fold with Alina. The crows got caught the very night they tried to kidnap Alina which was the same day general was taking to tear down the fold with her and decided to put the matter for the kidnappers for later—he could've just killed them that day-but he didn't. Because one of them turned out to be a Grisha. Y/n.

He did successfully tear down the fold with the help of the infamous sun summoner of course. Returning, he still had his "kidnapper team" situation which he would've been furious about but wasn't anymore because of the victory of tearing down the fold.

"What do you think they'll do with us" asked Jesper tied to chair across the rest of them.

"It's the sixth time you've asked that today Jesper!" Said Inej rolling her eyes.

"And? I'm worried about Millo—" protested Jesper.

"Wait you're right! It's been a whole day we've been here since we got caught-do you think they fed him?" Replied y/n.

"Most pro—" "can you two shut it? Our plan fell apart, we crossed the fold successfully just to sit here chained-and your concern is a goat?" Kaz cut him off.

"ITS MILO." Said y/n and Jesper at the same time.

"Can all of you shut it?!" Exclaimed Inej trying to raise her voice.

"This would've never happened in the first place if all of you had done your job properly in the first place." Kaz said letting out a scoff, though he didn't exactly mean that. It was the first time his plan had fallen apart and he didn't have any plan "F" or "Z" left. He was just mad at his failure, or so he thought.and annoyed by the bickering and blurbed out feeling sick of the situation he got his team in.

"Oh so you want to play the blame game?" Snapped y/n.

"We can play another game let's see who can stay quite for the longest time so I can think how to get us out of this alive Hmm?" Kaz said sighing loudly to keep his calm.

"Even if Inej could get us out of these chains somehow theres 4 guards outside I don't think y/n dear can handle" Jesper said teasing.

"Oh really? Remember the time—"

"This isn't ketterdam you aren't the only Grisha   who can set people on fire here besides the grishas outside are far more trained than you!" Jesper said before y/n could finish.

"Right—what now then?"

"I didn't even get to say goodbye to Milo."

"Ugh me too!"

Kaz tapped his leg on the floor seated from his chair he was chained to, to shush y/n and Jesper from talking constantly. "If we get out of here alive, Inej remind me to always carry a tape when we're around these two" Inej huffed setting her head back in reply.

"HeY—just because the plan failed doesn't mean you get to take it out on us by being a dick to us!"

"Saints y/n language!" Hissed Inej.

Y/n rolled eyes in reply "he started it."

"Who started what?" An unfamiliar low toned voice came from behind, though y/n couldn't look behind and see who he was, she titled her head as the room fell silent and the footsteps came closer. General kirigian. He walked around the square chair position four of them were kept around and stood upfront.

"Are you going to kill us? I prefer a bullet if you will." Jesper said finally breaking the silence.

Kaz remained still without an expressions, not scared, not vengeful, just the basic un-readable kaz with loose hair strands flowing by his forehead.

"Not today I don't." Said kirigian with a huff. "It's your lucky day I presume-The fold, it's been teared down by me and the sun summoner you were trying to smuggle out of Ravaka."

Inej looked amazed, she did believe in santka' Alina. She was more than amazed-first she saw the sun summoner in action at the show and now the fold. Her contentment could be seen clearly in her brown eyes. Kaz on the other hand, he didn't need to say anything-his face pretty clearly gave out the "it's just a trick" dialogue as if it was tattooed there.

"I've taken enough life in the process of getting here-this historical victory. The fold. I don't believe in taking more—nonetheless I need your Grisha squaller here, I know you're not an ordinary one." Began the general pointing to y/n. Y/n hadn't met a lot Grisha in her life. She couldn't quite figure what he meant by "ordinary" "You call upon fire. You see most of the squaller grishas can manipulate wind, lower air pressure and even fire to a point of maybe lightning a candle or anything with too much effort if they're close to fire source. But you—you can create your own. I saw what you lit up the stables the day you tried kidnaping the sun summoner."

Y/n was neither aware nor amused by the power she held. "Eitherways you're going to let us live right?" She said almost carelessly.

"Yes and you stay here."

"What?! No—"

"Excuse me?"

"I refuse to. I don't want to stay here at Ravaka. Now that the fold is down and since you're letting us live we'd like to go back to ketterdam" she pleaded looking at her teammates to assure the fact that she spoke for everyone when she said that.

"Oh no-none of you is leaving Ravaka"

"Excuse me?!" Said Jesper putting emphasis on me.

"Well you didn't think any of YOU is getting out of Ravaka to just let everyone think that the general's become weak and let them go?" Said kirigian with a scoff.

"We're can't stay here" Inej said looking at kaz who was staring at the ground as if he was having a blink competition with it.

"Alright you can go to ketterdam without a head then." Threatened kirigian.

"This isn't fair!" Y/n said with a frown.

"You should've thought that before putting a "kidnap the sun summoner" plan to set."
Replied kirigian.

"We'll stay." Was kaz's firm reply still staring at the ground which left the rest of them surprised.

Kaz looked up to the general again and nodded assuring him he meant what he said "All of us will."

"Very well then. I'll get you all out of your chains and tell someone ready your chambers." said the general proceeding to leave.

"Wait but the rest of us aren't Grisha" Inej threw a blunt disappointed look to Jesper to which he just shrugged.

"You might not be a Grisha but you're not that useless I'm sure we'll find you something." said the general before leaving.
