Y/n had followed Jesper's advice about the general. She knew it was wrong but she kept reassuring herself with "if it were wrong Jesper would've told me" not that she considered jesper's advices ideal but this time what he said was what she liked to her. Besides this time he was partially right-it's not like she's going to fall for him more in any way it's just until kaz figures out a way to get out they'd be out of here soon enough.
Y/n had asked Aleksander to keep them a secret amongst themselves. At least for now, at least till they escape. She said she didn't want anyone at the little palace to see her differently to which he agreed upon merrily. She couldn't care less about what anyone at the little palace thinks about them or her for that matter what she feared was what would happen if kaz and Inej found out.

Y/n entered Aleksander's war room in the evening, she was used to his routine now. He was always alone by the evening either in his chambers or the war room.
"Evening Alecksandar" she said walking to the table he was leaning forward to.
He lifted his face up to look at her and a his face lit up watching her stroll towards him "Evening my love."
Y/n stood by his side looking at the plans he had laid down on the table, whilst he placed a gentle kiss on her forehead bringing her closer to him.
"What's all this?" Y/n asked amused.
"Plans about what to do with thé drüskelle pack." He said with an annoyed huff at their mention.
"There's another attack?"
"No-the one we didn't get to in the north" he said flipping through the markings on the sheets places on the table.
"Wait-why?" She asked with a frown.
"What do you mean why?" Alecksandar asked confused facing her.
"I mean-why do you still want to get to them?"
"They killed our grisha."
"They didn't-"
"If it weren't for them they'd still be alive wouldn't they? If I don't even avenge them then I'd be one fool of a general."
Y/n just nodded in reply still unsure what he'd say to her reply.
"Is there something on your mind love?" He asked calmly.
"You won't get mad if I tell you?" She said hesitantly.
"I promise."
"You saw what's out there-if we barely made it out alive what do you think would've happened to a pack of what? 20? 30? Drüskelles? And about avenging the dead it would be one more stupid step if the people you want vengeance from aren't even alive in the first place." Y/n said with a soft voice not meeting his eyes thinking she might've provoked him.
"You're right." He said after a silent moment. Y/n's face brightened up as she faced him.
"You are. I would have this thought run in tomorrow's meeting." Aleksander said stepping away from the table to stand straight.
"I am glad I could help." Y/n said with a hearty grin spread across her face.
"I would have this thought run in the next meeting-but for now I don't want to talk about it when we're together." He continued and brought y/n closer to him from her waist. Y/n smiled at him and kissed him gently as they stood there.

The sun beamed bright through the curtains in Aleksander's chambers as the morning was just setting in. Aleksander's arms were wrapped around y/n torso with her face reaching his bare chest still asleep. He wanted to be in this moment for as long as the time would go on, watch her sleep so peacefully even with unmade bed hair she looked so pretty he thought to himself just before y/n opened her eyes slowly.
Before her vision could clear y/n smiled brightly at Aleksander who was already looking and spoke "And good morning to you." She said
He pulled her in closer to him by her waist smiling and brushed his lips onto hers.
"Morning." He said smiling in a deeper voice than usual. "Sleep well?" He asked as she pulled the covers over her shyly moving out of his arms, she nodded yes looking down by her shoulders to the a red bite mark bruise made by her very own. "Look what you did" She said with a huff looking up at him playfully. Aleksander rolled on top of her caging her between his arms again. He gently kissed at the mark trailing kisses all the way to her lips through her neck. He moved upward to look at her all smiley beneath him, "You could stay for a little longer and maybe we can make up for that?" He asked grinning mischievously moving downwards kissing her just for y/n to bring him back facing her through the tip of her finger.
"Mhm nice try Aleksander but I need to get going before anyone can see me like this..in the general's bed."
He sighed and buried his head onto her shoulders "What does it matter anyways?"
"I don't want anyone to know about us yet-you're the general I was the ketterdam thug a few months ago it's anyways weird as it is." Y/n explained to Aleksander who seemed to be not convinced at the slightest.
"Again, what does it matter? He debated sitting up pulling her onto his lap from her waist as he stroked her hair.
"Alright you win, it doesn't. But I just want what I have with you for the two of us—for now?" Y/n said blinking her eyes and wrapped her arms around his shoulders.
"Us. Just you and me?" He asked making their temples touch and y/n smiled in reply "I like the sound of that" he said.
Y/n gave him a gentle kiss as his hands cupped her cheeks breaking the kiss he gazed into her y/e/c eyes "We don't have to rush anything to what might bring you discomfort of any sort-as long as you're with me."
As long as you're with me. Y/n thought over what he said. She would eventually have to leave him, leave him without him knowing and that hurt that he had no clue what they had was a pleasant day dream which would end in things getting ugly. Y/n was firm she would never double cross the crows "the pack survives" she wasn't to leave them. She followed them into the fold and she was firm on doing it a thousand times again. But Aleksander? Had she gotten attached? She found herself feeling bad for leaving him with a heartbreak. With the thoughts of how hard it would be to leave him and how hard it would be to leave she didn't let it show giving him a nod and a gentle smile.
