The rivalry of two best friends brings them closer.

Or farther apart.

Though something told people who knew the two that this friendship could go either way.

Tubbo could lose and be totally crushed, but his friendship with Tommy meant more than some stupid internship.

Or Tommy could lose and be broken. Not being able to handle the feeling of losing to someone who used to be weaker than him. Not being able to congratulate his best friend for finally beating him.

But the third option remained an after thought.

Tommy loses, but feels happy for his friend's success. He is proud of how far Tubbo has come as a future hero. Proud of their friendship. Proud of him as a whole.

But again.

That's just an after thought.

"Three. Two. One. Go!"

The competitors ran in to meet in the center. Knowing each others strengths and weaknesses by  heart.

A swarm of bees flew in front of Tubbo in an organized matter like jets at an airshow.

Tommy grit his teeth together while grinning at the same time. He had one trick up his sleeve. If he messed up, he would lose.

But Tommy Innit doesn't lose.

Tubbo held up his hand and made a hand signal to The Hive. He made an 'L' shape with his right hand and shook it back and forth. This made the bees fly towards Tommy at full speed.

They flew in any nook and cranny of his shirt or pants. Landing on his arms and legs only. He didn't want to kill Tommy, but wanted to inflect pain onto the competitor. The last thing he needed was to put his best friend into cardiac arrest.

The bees sat on Tommy's skin awaiting their fate. Tubbo knew that he would lose bees, but he was on his A game today. He watched Tommy slowly walk towards him making sure that The Hive wouldn't feel threatened in anyway. Despite knowing Tubbo's bees for so long, Tommy never had interest in being involved with them. The bees didn't ever grow attachment to Tommy because of the fact he wasn't around them specifically.

Tommy knew his fate was set in stone the second the bees landed on him. He let in a deep breath, looked up to the cloud scattered sky, and yelled as loud as he could.

The scream shook the ground and everything around. Tubbo was knocked off of his feet.

"Now!"

Pain struck Tommy's body. Little needles piercing into his skin.

Everywhere he felt the little pinch of a needle, then it went sore from the inflammation. His legs went numb making him fall onto the ground.

The stinging eventually stopped leaving tons of swollen bumps on his arms and legs. He let out a bloodcurdling scream from the pain.

He knew he had to keep fighting.

Pulling himself up, he looked at Tubbo who was walking over to him.

"Sorry for this boss man-"

The last thing Tommy saw was his best friend's shoe before it all went black. He could only hear ringing.

"Tubbo wins!"

He let out a shaky breath. Looking down at his best friend. Anyone could tell he was unconscious, but Tubbo only saw his best friend who he had hurt.

And an army fallen around him.

A single tear ran down his sun kissed cheek before he wiped it away. He turned to the door with  his head held low.
