Crops looked up at her with the sadistic smile yet again. The smile was too big to be humane.

Within her storm of panic and anxiety, there was an opening in the clouds to see the sun.

Pairs of eyes finally connected.

Like a fountain, she let the voices flow out like water, faster and louder. Her heart pounded inside of her, feeling like it was on the verge of bursting.

She hasn't sent so many voices into somebody before. Well, ever since the incident when she was young.

"That's an interesting quirk you have there. I'd be a shame if it was lost."

Lost? Did her quirk not work on him?

Her body was crashed down onto the pavement in seconds. All air rushed out of her lungs in that moment. Her back felt shattered, bruised, and it buzzed like crazy.

And fuck it hurt like hell.

The usual static in her head was louder.

Concussions can't kill you, but knives certainly can. At least that's the logic at the time told her.

"Should I kill you? Or the other one?" His voice was louder, the power was getting to him.

"Please- don't kill him. Kill me instead." Her voice broken at the end. Eyes trailed away from the man above her to her brother on the ground. Tears welling up at the edges of her eyes.

A pool of blood was gathered around his arm. He rived in agony, fighting for his life. An occasional scream was let out of him.

"Drista you're an idiot! Don't say that-" He managed to get out of his teeth. They were closed so tightly from the pain.

"Fuck off- you have so much more potential than me!" She screamed back. The girl squirmed underneath Crops. A bug stuck in a spider's web.

He pulled her mask off before his hands grabbed onto her neck and within seconds he got tighter.

The more she struggled the tighter he got.

"DON'T KILL HER-" Dream screamed, his throat was ripped apart from screaming in pain.

The girl's vision began to blur, feelings around her became duller, and a small smile came across her face.

Her mother had never been so close to her.

She had missed her warm and homely expression, her picture perfect smile, the dirty blonde hair she got from her, the amount of freckles on her face like brown paint splattered onto a canvas.

Her legs moved without thought, making her run towards her mother. She didn't speak, but she knew her mother had missed her too.

The moment with her mother was so happy, it felt unreal.

A dream even. But that didn't matter.

All that mattered was her mother's arms around her.

"GET OFF OF HER-" An undistinguishable voice demanded.

She couldn't pinpoint who it was.

Her mother's arms began to leave her. They drifted away from her.

The warmth of her area slowly faded away from a warm and bright atmosphere to the cold and dark alleyway she was laying in.

Air filled her lungs like water rushing down a river. It was so overwhelming she began choking. Choking on the air that she never thought she would take for granted.

With one breath between the next, she saw black hair and fire.

With another breath, she was in the arms of paramedics.

With one last breath, she saw her brother on the ground.

"George, I'm so bored." Sapnap groaned. He trailed behind George who was trying not to beat the shit out of his best friend.

"Can you shut up already? We haven't even been patrolling for an hour. Something could happen soon. Just calm down." George glared at him.

Sapnap rolled his eyes and continued to follow after George.

They covered the neighborhood area near the agency. The crime rate is usually higher but it was a slower day. Sapnap and George had caught a couple of robberies within the area.

If only the area wasn't so sketchy.

"I guess it's not a problem when the #4 hero's agency is in town." Dream told them one day after a slow day.

"It does bring business." George replied in that memory.

Beep beep beep

"Dream's in danger?" Sapnap turned towards George who was holding a blinking device.

The device held several different dots all over the map. One in particular was blinking.

"I guess so. He usually clicks it just to make sure. Let's just head over, just in case." George turned around with Sapnap following behind them.

And so they walked over to the blinking.

Taking their sweet time by talking with people passing by, taking pictures with fans, and stopping at a bakery and buying pastries. So many pastries.

A little bell from them exiting the bakery rung before the bloodcurdling scream from a stranger, no not a stranger, Dream screamed. George dropped the pastries at the door.

"Drea-" The brunette stopped outside of the bakery.

Sapnap was already across the street and melted the gate of the alleyway with his quirk.

Kicking the man known as Crops off of Drista. He went tumbling down the alleyway while the girl gasped for air.

Outside of the alley, George alerted the police and paramedics on his device. Many spelling errors occurred from his shaking hands.

In a minute, the police and paramedics arrived.

In another minute, Crops was pulled out of the alleyway.

In the last minute, the paramedics picked Drista up bridle style out of the alleyway.

The pastries outside of the bakery remain untouched.
