(A/N): Hello to the people who read my story! All I wanted to say was thank you for the number of reads that I've been getting. Also, please listen to the song that I have posted above, because I think it fits Keefe perfectly. Thanks!
Sophie wanted to run, because she knew it was wrong. But she only melted into his embrace, and she slowly relaxed. When she and Keefe separated, she stood there blushing furiously.
"Why would you do that?"
He took her hand again and said, "Because, Foster. I promise you, Melanie isn't my girlfriend."
"Then who is she to you?"
"She's my friend. But she's also a jeweler, who was helping me design something for someone special."
"Why did you come into contact with her? I'm assuming you don't need jewelry." he laughed in response.
"That special person is you, Sophie." he said, staring earnestly into her eyes.
"What's so special about me?" she whispered, flustered, especially because he had used her first name.
"Sophie, you're absolutely amazing in every way possible. If I were to stand in front of you and describe everything that I loved about you, it would take forever." he told her. "And the reason Melanie was hailing me was to ask if I had given you this yet." he said, and pulled out a ring. "I'm not trying to propose marriage to you, since that would be way too early. But this ring symbolizes my promise to you."
"What promise?"
"That I will do my absolute best for you. If you'll accept me, at least." he replied, looking down at the floor.
"Of course I will."
"You will?"
"Yes. I wished earlier that I had the chance to fall for you, and I guess the world is finally giving me a positive push in the right direction." she hugged him, and he slipped the ring onto her finger.
"I love you so much, Sophie." he whispered into her ear. Sophie thought she would have second thoughts about saying it back, but she didn't hesitate when she replied,
"I love you too."
They stood together watching the sunset, and Sophie huddled next to Keefe for warmth.
"I think Biana will be worried about me if I don't go home soon." Sophie said.
"I'll take you home then." Keefe replied, and Sophie blushed again. Sophie pulled out her home crystal, and then pulled Keefe into the light with her. "Bye, Sophie. See you soon?"
"Yeah." Before he left, he quickly pecked her cheek and leaped away. All of a sudden, Biana appeared out of nowhere.
"You guys are so cute!" she squealed.
"Biana!" Sophie exclaimed.
"Yes?" she replied, extending the s. "All I'm saying is that you two look good together."
"Why are you saying such things?"
"It's not like you don't do the same thing to Tam and me."
"Yeah, but you guys are a couple. You're engaged!."
"Are you and Keefe not dating?" Biana questioned, and Sophie looked away. "So it's true?"
"Stop making fun of me!"
"Sophie, I'm just saying that you and Keefe are perfect for each other. I've seen the chemistry between you two."
"Okay, that's enough. Bye now!" Sophie said, and rushed into the house. After she walked into her room, she found Arina sleeping soundly on the bed. She showered quickly, and settled into bed. Sophie drifted off to sleep and had restful dreams that night.
The next morning, Sophie awoke and went downstairs to eat breakfast. Arina woke up soon after and grabbed a Blitzenberry muffin from the plate that Sophie had prepared. Promptly, there was a knock on the door. Arina opened it swiftly, and Sophie saw Keefe standing at the door.
"Hi, mister!" Arina said.
"Arina." Sophie reprimanded.
"Sorry, Sophie." she replied. "Who's this?" she asked, turning back around.
"This is Keefe. My . . ." she trailed off, hesitating. But when she saw Keefe's disappointed face, she changed her mind. "He's my boyfriend." Keefe smiled in return.
"That's cool!"
"How do you know what a boyfriend is?" Keefe asked.
"I just know things." Arina replied smartly.
"Well, Sophie, these are for you." Keefe said, revealing flowers that were behind his back.
"They're very pretty." Arina exclaimed.
"Yes, they are. Thank you, Keefe."
"It's no problem." He said, throwing a smirk at her. "I have to get to work now, so, bye." he gave her a quick kiss, and Arina gasped. "Bye, Arina. Maybe I'll see you later. Bye, Sophie."
"Bye." Sophie replied.
"That was fast." Biana said descending downstairs.
"Biana, how do you always pop up when when Keefe and I are interacting?"
"I'm just amazing like that. But on the other hand, have to get to work as well. I think you should come to my boutique. I know you don't need to work since you're quite important now, but you could pick out something for Arina."
"Can we go, Sophie? Can we? Arina pleaded.
"Of course, Ari. We'll get ready, Biana. We'll meet you at the Leapmaster."
"Sure."
After they arrived at the boutique, one of Biana's employees called her up to the counter.
"Sorry, guys. Siora's calling me. You can pick out what you want, and I'll pay for it."
"Biana, it's fine. I'll pay."
"We'll see about that." Biana said with a wink.
"Arina, what do you want?"
"I'm not sure. Can we look around?"
"Sure we can." Sophie said, and took hold of Arina's hand. They wandered through the store, and some people took second glances at them because of their eyes. Sophie didn't mind, and Arina didn't seem to mind either. Arina eventually picked out an exquisite green bow that brought out the emerald gleam in her eyes. "Is that what you want?"
"Yep."
"Let's pay really quick and then say goodbye to Biana."
"Okay."
"Hey, Sophie!" Biana appeared yet again.
"Biana! You scared me."
"I already got that paid for, so don't worry about it."
"But I . . . how?"
"That's for me to know and you to figure out. Besides, that's what friends are for. Now get out of here and have some fun. Maybe with your boyfriend."
"I- okay. Thanks Biana."
"There's no need to thank me." Biana said, waving before she disappeared into the crowd.
"Let's go." Sophie said, and she and Arina leaped away. When they arrived, she saw Fitz standing at the doorway. And he didn't look happy.
