Sturmhond made his way over to Alina. "Don't judge them too harshly" he said, looking over his shoulder. Your legs gave out and Sturmhond quickly grabbed you so you wouldn't fall. Your eyes met, and his glistened in the sun. a smile quickly formed on his face and his cheeks went pink. "You need to rest" he said, sitting you down. "It's not them I'm judging" she said "you're the captain. "And they have purses to fill, siblings and parents to feed.

We lost nearly half our crew and left without any rich prize. Not that you're not fetching". "What am I doing here? Why did you help us?" Alina asked. "Who's to say I helped you" said Nikolai "it's not just you I'm after". "Answer the question" said Mal, "why hunt the sea whip id you only meant to turn it over to Alina?". "I wasn't hunting the sea whip. I was hunting you". "And him" he added, glancing in your direction.

"That's why you raised a mutiny against the darkling". "To get at me?" asked Alina, "you can't very well mutiny on your own ship" Sturmhond chuckled. "Call it what you like. Just explain yourself" Alina snapped. "You look even cuter in the sun," said Sturmhond, leaning on the railing next to you. "Are your cheeks always pink?" he grinned as you looked away. "As I would have explained to the darkling if he ever bothered to ask, good thing he didnt.

The problem with hiring a man who sells his hinor is that you can always be outbid". "Alinas mouth dropped open. "You betrayed the darkling for money?" she asked, "betrayed is a strong word, I hardly know the guy". "He'll still kill you" you added in, "he'll kill me too".

"You're mad. You know what hes capable of, no prize is worth that" said Alina. "He's worth it" grinned Sturmhond. "Plus, that remains to be seen". "What do you mean him?" asked Mal, "you just met him a few weeks ago". "Think what you want". "The darkling will hunt you down until hes caught you" protested Alina "then it looks like you and I will have something in common. I like to have powerful enemies. Makes me feel important" chuckled Sturmhond.

Earning a small laugh from you that made him smile. Mal crossed his arms and furrowed his brows. "I don't know if you're stupid or crazy". "I have many qualities. Hard to choose, but I like charming".

You pulled yourself from the deck once more and held onto the railing. Sturmhond was too deep in conversation with Alina and Mal for anyone to notice. You reached out one of your hands toward the ocean and flicked your fingers. A burst of water shot forward and collided with the other waves. "Is Genya here?" you asked, turning your body around. "You should be resting" said Sturmhond, walking over to you. But you raised your hand to stop him. "Is genya here?" you repeated.

There was no answer. "No, she's not here" said Alina. "I begged her to come but she didnt". "We have to go and get her". We can't go back there, he'll kill us" said Mal, "then I'll go back myself" you replied. "Look, you're in no shape to even be moving right now. Plus, if you went back you'd never get away" said Sturmhond.

"Is that the only reason you want to go back?" asked Alina "or do you want to go back to the darkling?" "You stared back out at the ocean. "He's going to kill me now" you said, "he's not going to kill you if you're his lover" retorted Mal. "he did this to me" you said pulling off your mask, "he did it even when I didn't betray him". Tears swelled in your eyes as you looked back out at the ocean.

Mal walked over to you and put his arm around your shoulder. "You'll be okay, you're with us". "You are kinda cute in the sun" he said. Alinas eyes widened at Sturmhond raised an eyebrow. "I'm just agreeing with Sturmhond" he chuckled, earning a laugh from you.

"So about that second amplifier" said Sturmhond. "Will you be okay?" asked Mal, "yeah, I'll be fine" you replied. He removed his arm from your shoulder and went back to talking with Alina and Sturmhond.
