Just as the room around her started to spin Sophie dragged her back to the group. Peter also looked around when he saw Emma's panicked expression. As he noticed the blue costumes he felt a little panic rise in himself. He dragged the whole group towards the haunted mansion. There were no big crowds, only some little groups.

In the third room Emma sat down on a table. Her head was spinning. MJ and Sophie turned around but Emma didn't come. "Go…ahead. I'll...I'll catch up to you guys." A bit reluctant they did.

The group went to the gym, well tonight it was the disco, like a lot of other students.

It was dark outside. The halls were empty as nearly everyone was either at the disco or at the haunted house. Emma hadn't found her friends after she had left the haunted mansion. Admittedly she didn't go to the disco. She was wandering around the building. Only here and there she came across some other students or teachers. She had been walking in circles, always passing the same scenes. She was once more walking past the entrance of the 'haunted mansion' students and even one or two teachers ran out of the spooky rooms. Even the students and teachers that were part of the attraction ran out.

Instead of following them Emma waited until they were gone. She ran the other way.

As she got out into the hallway she saw some teachers running towards the gym. She followed them but it seemed that whatever they wanted to tell everyone had already reached them. Students in hero costumes ran out of the gym. The teachers in front of her followed suit.

Though Emma stood there frozen nobody ran her over or even bumped into her.

The teen knew that if everyone ran away, wherever they came from something dangerous was going on. Her brain told her to run and help but her body didn't move. At least not as fast as she wanted. A few students were still inside the gym as Emma reached the door. Somewhere someone was shouting at the teens but the words didn't reach Emma's mind. Students were running past her but a man in a black cloak tried to stop too many from leaving. He was not very effective.

Only a little group of teens was left, maybe three or four students, as the man noticed Emma and pulled her into the room just mere seconds before a spider web blocked the door. The sudden movement broke Emma out of her stupor. Before she could protest though she felt the cold metal of a gun at her head.

"No!"

Emma recognised the voice immediately. The only students left in the gym were her friends. MJ, Peter, Sophie and Ned.

Without moving Emma tried to look around. There were a few other men in black cloaks and someone that seemed to be the leader of the group. She also saw the fire escape. If Peter could distract the men the others could escape. He already had his mask on but he was still in his costume. With a quick movement he pushed their friends under a tribune and webbed up the entrance. The fire escape was too far away from them to reach, even with Peter's help.

"Spidey!"

"Stay! We don't know what they want!"

He hauled himself up into the air with his web shooters.

The boss laughed like a maniac. "What do we want? I think that's quite obvious. You, Spiderling. More specifically your powers." Calmly the man stepped forward. Peter didn't even flinch. "This time there's no one to help you."

Emma wanted to scream and shout. He wasn't alone. But before she would use her powers here and accidentally burnt or froze her friends, she stayed silent with a gun to her head. The man holding her turned her around to face Peter and the leader. Finally she could see the men in black. And recognise them.
