Peter couldn't quite get his mind off of the possible threat just like Emma. Any comments Flash made fell onto deaf ears. Even Ned didn't get his mind onto different things. MJ simply made a sketch of him.

Sophie didn't comment on Emma's strange behavior. It was honestly a mystery to her, how quickly her friend's mood could change. Especially since she had been ill for a few weeks. 

At lunch Peter and Emma silently stared at their phones while their friends talked about some new trend. The cafeteria was filled with chatter and laughter. That was until the principal called the whole school to meet in the room, normally used for theater or homecoming.

Everyone was really surprised as all students and all teachers sat down while the principal stood on the stage. He struggled to silence everyone but after a few moments he had everyone's attention. He cleared his throat before he started to speak. "As everyone knows, did the villain fight from last week leave great damage and a lot of questions. Among those who fought to prevent as much dunnage as possible was a new powerful vigilante. The authorities would appreciate any clues about them or their identity. But that is not why you're here."

He made a pause to make sure everyone was listening. "The authorities have expressed their concerns about our school's safety. We decided to act upon those concerns and close school for a week, since it is possible that our school is being targeted by a group of very dangerous criminals."

A lot of students started to cheer. But Emma got even more concerned. The principal had avoided to say police probably because those authorities weren't the police. That left Shield to be the only organization that could be behind this. And if Shield acted upon concerns, you should start to run. 

A lot of students were already standing up, not at all worried. They were just happy to have no school for a week. 

The principal was getting down from the stage and walked towards the exit, while the students excitedly talked amongst themselves. Suddenly the doors flew open. All exits were blocked. Frantically Emma and Peter looked around, while a lot of students either screamed or fell silent in shock. 

A man completely dressed in black with a gun in his hand walked down the aisle. With ease he jumped onto the stage. Emma and Peter stared at him immediately. The cloaks of the men that blocked the exits gave away that Shield had been right. The group attacked their school again. This time they had everyone as their hostage. 

If Shield knew about this, they would soon be here. But until then Emma and Peter couldn't do anything, they were in the middle of a crowd. Students and teachers were all around them and the group hadn't said anything, yet. 

The man on the stage started to pace from one side to the other. His gun was always pointed at the crowd. "A little bird told me that among you are two people that have something, I want... I'm gonna make it easier for you. Come to me and no one gets harmed."

His gaze wandered over the crowd. He didn't use the microphone but his voice still reached even the farthest corners.

"Or you can keep hiding. But your friends will pay the price. From what I heard you are a smart duo. Choose wisely."

Students and teachers started to whisper. No one knew what the man meant but they all understood that the price was a rather high one. MJ looked worriedly at Peter. She knew he wanted to rather give himself and his secret up than put anyone is this room in danger. Emma was staring up at the stage. The man was getting impatient.

"I have to do everything myself, don't I? If anyone of you little brats knows something about everyone that was in the gym when we last attacked, say it! I don't need to kill more than I have to." He jumped off the stage and started walking down the aisle. Here and there he pointed his gun at some students. "Anything, and you shall be spared. But you better not lie!"
